Is that what I said ?

NOPE.

What I DID say is that his performance levels have not been as bad as many would have you believe. And I will stand by that 100%.

I’ll additionally say right now that he hasn’t exactly torn it up.

Not quite what you seem to have interpreted it as !

That recent Sander video:

Q: Who has the most possession won in the final third per 90 minutes?
A: Was it Rosemary the Telephone Operator? Nope. Was it Iliman Ndiaye the Senegalese World Cup Star [That would've been my guess.] ? Nope. Was it Billy Sharp the past-it fatso whose legs have gone? Yes.

The correct response to the last question is 'Could be...' not Yes. You have to at least maintain a modicum of jeopardy, otherwise there's no plot.

We no longer play to his strengths, and the team has developed since our last promotion season whilst Billy has got older, although I do believe his fitness is still as good as any in the team.

He’ll go down in history as one of our best ever players and he should have a role in our management team to assist him with his future management aspirations, hopefully some great succession planning will lead him to be our manager one day.

love the guy to bits.

And Bona Fide Club Legend.

Thankfully there are many of us that know better. Those that actually know what good looks like that is. Performance levels haven’t been anywhere near as desperate as some would make out. Trust me on that.

Ignore it. It’s white noise and is perpetuated by a noisy minority.

The lack of respect is a fucking disgrace.

Currie and Edwards up top next week

He is a natural finisher and in any side creating chances in the box, he will score. We create every little at the moment so can’t expect him to score.
When hecky took over, we were getting the bal down the flanks and into the box without fucking about with it. In recent months we look like Slavs team going forward just with a better defence.
Admittedly he is coming to the end of his playing career but we hardly play to his strengths

Agree, Sharp is STILL the best finisher at the club and you never really lose that.
He's never really had pace but is slightly slower now.

This means he needs the ball playing to his feet.
We tend to go more long ball and knock it into space or over the top for a striker to run on to it.
This tactic won't ever bring out the best in Sharp.

He should start against Wrexham.

Still reckon he could be too cute for a League One or League Two team, whatever Wrexham really are.

He has a part to play.

He'll probably play for another year too. I don't see anyone else joining to become 6th choice striker but United will push on with Ndiaye, McBurnie, Jebbo, Brewster and possibly sign another. We'll likely send Osula on loan and nobody will want to join and be 6th pick. But Billy will still be there as insurance, probably play in the cup games and be a greet influence behind the scenes.

He can do his badges and then take a role in the youth set up.

He can still help out this season even if he's not the number one guy.

Said it earlier in the season, the side is built differently now. Previously Billy was the lead striker that occasionally went out searching for the ball or to pull players out of position.

Now his role is to support and create for Ndiaye, Jebbo or McBurnie.

He’s still got a job to do this season, for sure

Is there something specific that I've missed? Crowd reaction when he got subbed on?

Said it many times, the best thing Billy can do once he retires is get as far away from United as possible and never look back.

I pray that he never takes up a position here, especially in a managerial capacity. Regardless of what he does, it'll only end one way, and that's with him being shit on, slandered and his name dragged through the mud, and that goes double for anybody born in Sheffield.

Because this fanbase is dominated by human detritus who compensate for their room-temperature IQs by having endless reserves of pettiness, vindictiveness and jealousy.

He deserves so much more.
Fahrenheit or Centigrade? 🤔

You know what, I was genuinely pondering this in a quiet moment this morning. Sunday, a day of contemplation.
