A hypothetical question.

The whole purpose of the money is to attempt to be competitive in the Premier League so if you don’t play in the premier league you would not get the money

What would happen if a promoted team tell the premier league that they want the money but don’t want to pay in the premier league .
You can't take the money and then not go up. Where would the money come from for the club that replaces you?

Also, why would you give up the extra millions in advertising and sponsorship deals with other organisations that would come about from being in the Prem? I'd expect that the existing partners would be displeases as well.

Just would never happen.

What do you mean by "the money", afaik there is no prize money for winning the championship, you just get extra money when you're on telly. There's no chance you would be given any of the premier league TV money while not participating. So I can't see you possibly getting any money. I'm not sure on the laws of participation in the EFL but I assume promotion is built in.

I’d be all over it.

If we go up we have a year of beatings.

You can take the money, pay the bonuses and the wage rises and invest the rest in infrastructure. I wouldn't be against that.

What would happen if I went in billy hills and asked em for a grand for my acca I'm not putting on.

think going up with this squads more similar to when we finished 9th, no crippled players, subs on the bench that can actually offer something , a keeper as good as Henderson , and a few goal scoring forwards , which is nice

They would get relegated and concede the most goals in Premier league history, regularly conceding 5 home and away and occasionally 8 at home

An asteroid is headed to hit earth, Bruce Willis isn't available to save us, but NASA somehow redirects Simmo's pen kick to deflect the asteroid....unless....

"If" we win the league, I'd be very disappointed if we didn't defend the title next season and instead started pissing about in the Premier league again.

I'd love us to be able to take some cut of the TV money and stay down, alas...

I hear what you're saying, but sometimes (and it does seem to be on rare occasions these days) a club can 'break the cycle' and stay up. To be honest, I'm not a blinkered optimist, but I still have hope.
