God's country ...... Rovrum!
As we are currently as shit as we've been for a long while, with fk all happening, especially on this rumour board, here's a post from a long time BM poster

As usual, he signs off with "don't shoot the messenger"

I take it all with a pinch of salt, but would it surprise anyone the way things are going with our club?

"Baxter is 100% finished and will be sold.

Basham, Done and Reed are the only ones NOT for sale. Bids considered for Adams.

HRH wants to pump more money in in January (£10m ish). He approached KM to match it - refused. Toys are out the pram and the relationship is strained and the investment is to be retracted. Phipps next to leave.

Possibility that the Chinese guys who have invested into the area around BL may be interested in investing into the club. MAY be interested.

Don't shoot the messenger."

Ouch :/
Shame about McCabe not wanting to pump that much money in but if they could meet halfway, £10m in January is a lot of money too.
I hope the Prince sticks around and I hope what is said about Phipps isn't true as I do like him. I know he annoys some on here but I think he's a good guy with a lot of enthusiasm.
Surprised they are considering selling Adams but not Done, Reed or Basham. I wonder what the reasoning for that is.

Interesting times, that's for sure.

I can believe the Baxter rumour after hearing (another) summary of the incidents this last fortnight with him, seeming to confirm the stories on here (fight with Collins, trip to Dublin).

If McCabe does not want to invest any money he should put all his efforts into finding a buyer for his half of the club. We need to find someone with the money and commitment to take the club forward. We are in arguably the worst period of our entire history yet McCabe seems content to just let things drift along.

If any of this is true, then my comments are: Glad McCabe refused, Phipps and hrh have to realise that it's not money but sensible football business heads to solve our problems

Money will be wasted whilst the board is so clueless

My answer: bring in a Dooley type director of football to work with Adkins

How much say would Dooley have had? Was he involved in negotiations or deciding on which players to bring in?

I agree, with a proper strategy of investing in players "on the up", as opposed to last paycheck players on the slide. McCabe needs to heed his own advice of a few years ago, when he more or less said the same (investing in youth after the Robson era backfired).

Sounds nonsensical to me because of FFP and the idea that the prince could ever expect McCabe to match him dollar for dollar on the playing side.

Having said that, if the board are split then club is truly boned.

Are these investors from china coming in to possibly replace McCabe or is the Prince backing out?
Can you link the original thread please.
Edit: Found thread, 'Murphy money'

I thought that Hrh was contractually obliged to invest a certain figure. What was it? Suppose thats all been wasted now.....

We don't have FFP in this league, it's SCMP, and chairman chucking money in is absolutely allowed.

Me: "Derek, when I bring a friend to the game, he has to stand in the rain and in an inch of piss when he goes to the toilet - Whilst I don't care, what image are we giving to new customers? Any chance of getting a joiner to put a small roof on the kop bog"

Derek: "Son, one day we will redevelop the kop. If we do, that money will have been wasted".

It's not just a case of how much say he'd have, but also the quality of it.

Anyone read BM tonight. Look under 'murphy money '. Bit concerning if true, but are today's changes the
Start of a new downward spiral for us. Does this mean any truth in Gary bowyer rumour (cheap manager )

There's nothing cheap about sacking a manager - so zero truth is my guess.

We will be a real set of muppets if we sack Adkins just to bring in Bowyer, I'm presuming his name has popped up because someone is wanting to stir it up.

6 months into his tenure and though we are bitterly disappointing at the moment surely even the board realise he's working with one hand tied behind his back at the moment. Whenever did The Sun let sensationalism get in the way of a good story? Helped fill a paragraph or two though

I personally think there could be something in the alleged arguments between the co-owners. Today's cabinet reshuffle points to it as well. I laughed when I saw the £10m figure though. I'd tell him to do one as well.

I find it hard to believe, but is The prince getting fed up with McCabe .Something does not add up down there

Just went onto BM fully expecting it to be a post from one of the mega WUMS on there only to find out it's Dar, who, despite some questionable political opinions, was usually pretty accurate with his ITK back in the day..

If there is any truth in this it is sad but unsurprising news...

The players ,Adkins decision or someone elses ? Either way horseshit.

Hardly surprising if true, McCabes ego is always going to be a problem, and I have been struggling for a while trying to get my head around what the Prince gets out of us bumbling along in League one.

Ah well the McCabes back in full control will be fun next year won't it?

You think Phipps, and possibly the Prince and/or McCabe leaving is sad?

If it happened, I think it would be absolutely brilliant.

Hope it's true, and that the Chinese guys lodge a bid.

Maybe the Chinese will takeover and make our kit look like Rotherham United's...

Darblade is about as reliable as a Billy Sharp penalty.

Take anything he says with the hugest pinch of salt

That's not entirely true, he lost the plot in recent times but he has been right quite a few times before that,

"don't shoot the messenger" = "what's father Christmas bringing?" :)
