12 : at Bramall LaneRealisticall how many points and where do we need to be
Stoke like Boro, PNE, WBA, Bristol city, even Brum have all been on good runs, but can they sustain it much longer, nearly all those are perennial bottlers and we might be meeting them at just the right moment, we need to capitalise now we are looking more confident though this, like Leicester is a test of where we are, non of them will be as confident facing us now as they would have been a couple of weeks agoIt depends if you class Bamford and Riedewald as January transfer window signings, if they do get contracts. If so they should be the first to put pen to paper then we, get rid of Barry, Godfrey and Bindon with looking to replace by Mid-January with 3 additionals to refresh the squad. It's how good a Stoke we get over the 2 fixtures as they could easily define how we are looking and also half the points on what is the least "acceptable" place to be at. Beat them at the lane on Saturday and be full steam into Norwich and see what happens after that. Either way the block of fixtures from now until the FA Cup on 10th January is key. 8 games, 2 at home against opponents currently below us (Norwich & Oxford), it won't win or lose the season for us but it will go a long way to deciding the end. If we stick to what we are good at and not make the costly errors early doors, most of the sides aren't great, they do enough to beat what is there or get a lucky break. We need to create our own luck and hopefully we will be there or there abouts

Equally, Leicester’s two goals were fortunate for them that Cooper is clearly struggling with mobility and confidence on his bodyVery much agree. Heard it loads of times how we were often lucky last season and how this season we’ve been unlucky
But you find the best teams often seem to be lucky and teams near the bottom can always seem to highlight bad luck.
On Saturday our 1st goal involved luck. A goal mouth scramble with Winks mis kicking it and the ball falling nicely to Cannon but TC created that good luck by being around the ball anticipating a ricochet. Even our 2nd and 3rd goals had an element of luck. They headed the bal clear and it fell perfectly for COH and Peck for the shot but both our players found space on the edge of the box creating potential luck.
