The only tiny downside is that given the way the season is going it seems unlikely that the usual 40pts is going to guarantee safety. We are 6th but only 6 points off 4th bottom. Seems unfair in a way.
When watching build up on skysports today it seemed surreal all of these pundits talking in such glowing terms about our premier team.

Man City are the only team I fear and we could easily beat them 2-1 or loose 3 or 4 nil

Other than that nothing to fear in this league players getting plenty of rest between matches
 
What more can be said that already has not been !

My only concern is the reputation and respect that is growing by the day for our very own Chrissy Wilder aka god .

I would not swap the man for any other manager . No other manager could instil the belief , confidence , togetherness and total lack of fear that he has done . Just fucking incredible . The future under Wilder just gets better and better and I hope to god the day never comes where we have to part company .

Anyhow enjoy the moment and grab another fucking beer . Proud Blade 👍

It's very pleasing but I'm not getting carried away. Safety is the first priority then after that we'll see where we are.

I think this is now how we set up at home for the games in December and play for the draw away in December..... We could well only need another 10 or so pounds Come.tbe 2nd Jan

and that was the ex pig, and that after saying how well we are playing

in the current climate, could not agree more blade too long since CW/AK arrived the bar as been raised so much, the space station as now had to change its orbit to accommodate!

we can play and beat any team, that is the mentality of this team and you know what, its right! we can!

I put the same bet on before the season started and it was 12/1..........fair play if you've stuck £100 on that, far more confident than my tenner!

The team we’re playing on 29th was almost irrelevant. 8 games takes us to the halfway point in the season.

The point was more that the next 8 games are winnable and we can realistically pick up a lot of points and then see where we are at the halfway stage

I say almost irrelevant, because after those 8 games we have Man City and Liverpool and whilst we give ourselves a chance I think the 8 games before will really allow us to see where we are sitting in case we then have a bad run of results

Judging by your nom de plume I presume you are of a similar vintage to me, therefore I would expect, nay demand, that such an esteemed fellow Blade would not forget the season we just stormed the old first division (well for two months anyway) when we were top for some weeks beating everyone in sight, until that day at Old Trafford. Without resort to my old faithful scapbook I think we then lost at home 2-3 to Stoke and it was after that we dropped to second finishing up 9/10 or something.

To forget that either shows poor judgement or possibly dementia and with advancing years the latter sadly is eminently possible. :)

Do we play in red and white stripes?

We beat Arsenal at Highbury in one of our early games. I went to the Manure game. Best and Gowling scored. I have to say that team may have had a few individuals better than some of today’s team but the football we’ve witnessed at the Lane the last two and half seasons is the best I have seen a United team play consistently.

Hmm makes you wonder if CWAK had the likes of that team what might we have achieved.
 



Although as other people have said the last time we were this high in the league was 1975, unfortunately, although I've been a fan since birth I only started going regularly to bdtbl in 1976 which makes me take every apparent success (along with every other long time blade) with a pinch of salt
