But we have a run of 5 - 6 very winnable games pre-Xmas, probably against the sides that most would have called out as the likely relegation contenders. If we pick up 9-10 points in that run we'll be nearly safe.

There’s no team who have remotely looked like turning us over. There’s no team more difficult than Liverpool and we were unlucky there. There’s nothing to fear at all. We’ll lose some of course.

I remember taking a screen grab of us top of the championship in 2017 and saying this is mad...How do you compute that we are 6th in the premier league?
The only tiny downside is that given the way the season is going it seems unlikely that the usual 40pts is going to guarantee safety. We are 6th but only 6 points off 4th bottom. Seems unfair in a way.
When watching build up on skysports today it seemed surreal all of these pundits talking in such glowing terms about our premier team.

‘I've been thinking the same, there are some comprisons.

We did quite well under Bassett and Warnock because they thrived on the “inferiority“ complex, us against the world.
However Bassett is developing this “superiority“ complex. Wilder is a winner and doesn’t over respect any reputations.
