Saw my beloved Blades first when I was 4 years old and, like many, we have had our ups and downs, high and lows but....

That was about the worst, most passionless performance I've seen since my 4 year old debut at BDTBL in 1957.

I get the changes, I get giving fringe players a chance but when the passion for winning a game is 6 foot into the ground like it was today, well, the club needs it criticism today for an absolutely spineless performance.

Barnet played well and thoroughly deserved to win, Their forwards were good, quick, and direct. They played too win, kept their shape, and played with pride and passion.

I'm not sure we played with pride or passion or belief or even interest today. We got what our performance deserved: an embarrassing loss to a non-league side that deserved to beat us on our home patch.

There was disinterest and distraction all over the pitch and off it today and I fully believe the Madine factor played its part in that.

Let’s hope that’s got it out of the system

Same length of time here. I'm realistic enough to understand we ain't going to win the League but the cup has always been a possibility and various managers have got us close. However, we can chalk that one off now. What's the fucking point?

The Madine factor has already started? Bizzarre, stupid crazy signing but can you blame him for today?

I’m not sure there’s a Madine factor, more like 11 strangers trying to form a team.

We got to see some of the fringe players in action, but it’s not surprising that mistakes were made.

Barnet didn’t batter us, they just wanted it more.

down to madine and Brexit

I blame Wilder for inflicting unnecessary conflict on us. There was only one subject of discussion before the game amongst the fans and I am sure amongst the players as well and it wasn’t Barnet.

I agree with that, Wilder is gambling on a 100/1 shot here.

No excuse mate that’s just suggesting that they’re not professional enough to put their own performance ahead of speculation that makes no difference to them. You going to say Billy was disinterested or distracted?

Anyone else notice the top 3 in the championship have all gone out in what were ×winnable games with full teams

Seems to have prioritised our season into one basket

(Unashamed advertising reply) I trust you're looking out for the next post in my '60 years ago this month' thread. Happier Cup day v Crystal Palace, I hope to post in a couple of days. Maybe you were there and can add some memories...

There’s been a lot worst days than yesterday when we didn’t have any excuses
Walsall,Wigan,Cambridge to mention a few

I'm sure there is a joke in there using "Barnet" and "fringe players" but unfortunately I can't think of it.
It's on the tip of my tongue though.

But we won the league not long ago, and if Sir Chris has got this right this time round, we could realistically win the league this season.
I'm not saying we will, I said we'd finish 6th, but let's wait n see..

Erm, that's not quite what I meant, it was the whole league I was referring to.
