Their lad went down for a while as well. I predicted 5 minutes.

I think they add 30 secs per substitute and all 6 came on so that's 3 minutes alone

The ball never went out of play though, and by the time it did he was back on his feet…..

Unless there was another time that I cant remember. If he’s added time on for what I think he has then he’s a fucking idiot
It was a Boro player who received treatment not far from the Boro bench, not the completely separate incident when a player went down in front of the John Street stand with play continuing and United attacking.

I play rugby and there's so many elements of the officiating that should be copied in football.

An easy one, just stop the clock for stoppages. The arbitrary 30 seconds for this & that doesn't work. Such an easy fix. The game then finishes on 90 minutes. If you want to Americanise it a bit for the future audience, do the basketball style countdown and siren. Blow the whistle when the ball goes dead. One final play. Gives it all a bit of excitement.

Mic the refs up too. Let's hear the decision making process. It's good entertainment on TV and leaves no ambiguity as to how a decision was reached.

And just book players for foul & abusive language directed towards officials. Put some respect back into the game.

In rugby, only Captain's are allowed to speak to the referee unless otherwise advised. If you mouth off uninvited there's a consequence. A warning and then a yellow card.
This one might not work as well in football because of the spread of the players but a workaround could be implemented quite easily.

That was Connelly not Bola

I think he was just embarrassed at how shit he was playing and wanted to come off. It remember him being good at Boro, he was shite last night.
Looking at what some of the Boro fans have said, it looks like Bola has been rushed back from a lengthy injury

Boro players time wasting on the Family stand side when taking a throw in. At 0-0. :D
