I think only Man U later that year, Leeds the year after and Pigs in 1980 got over the 40k mark again.

Only Liverpool v Man U with a bigger attendance. More than Arsenal and 12,000 plus more than Man City with Franny Lee, Colin Bell etc in their team. Oh how times have changed .
