Predictive text would never come up with that spelling unless you'd spelt it like that before. You Sir, are exposed as a cad and a bounder. Misspelling the name of our ground is a very serious offence.
I've been called a lot worse.

I agree to an extent. While there were a lot of things that contrived against us (We would not have settled for £20m from West Ham if we weren't cheated), we still had 38 games from which to amass 40 points from.

We failed to beat Villa at home despite being 2-1 up

Claude Davis failed to remember that he was a professional footballer when we were 1-0 up at home to Portsmouth

Warnock failed to strengthen the squad appropriately in January, thus the Hulse injury impacted so much.

We scored something like 3 goals away from home until January (which unbelievably contributed to 3 wins), while one of those goals was well offside (Webber v Watford).

We should have beaten Charlton away but instead missed chances and had to settle for 1 point.

I would say we contributed to our relegation a whole lot more than anyone else, mainly those in board level positions down to the management set up.

Copy and paste that last statement for 2010/11's glorious season.

And West Ham shouldn't have had an illegal player on the pitch to score against Man U.

Don't forget we beat them 3-0 at home (if my old memory serves me right)

I think the losing culture had started long before. Andy Reid inspired two or three wins before christmas, but we were generally awful all season.

Revolution snr came back from our pitiful surrender at Hartlepool in the League Cup - the second game of the season I recall - and said that he thought we were going to be relegated as the squad was wafer thin on quality and he couldn't see who was going to score or create goals.

A lot more people came round to this view after QPR took us apart on the following saturday.

Sadly, many of the mistakes made in squad building around that time are still being made now. We still sign players with poor injury records, and midfielders who never score or create anything.

Nobody ever learns anything at the Lane.

What a game that was, our only shot on target was from substitute centre half Kyle Bartley in the 85th minute from 20 yards which got the biggest cheer of the night.
