Hope next season starts as well as the season after this one but continues beyond October.

That's great silent, but have you got any pictures of the newspapers to share of it?.............................................................:o)

Can someone post the pic. after the Watford game of Eddie Colquhoun in the director's box - bottle of champers in one hand, fag in the other? I just about remember that 'promotion special'. Part of the text goes summat like 'in the normally-conservative John Street stand, some fans were stamping their feet!' Wot, no pyros?

Here you are

I'm off to John Taylor for a gentleman's hairpiece tomorrow. I'll be going for the Trevor Hockey look.

Meanwhile, what a dilemma on the car front. Do I fancy a Triumph Toledo or a new Renault 6-1100? The Toledo looks expensive but.......

I used to go there in the 50's on Surrey Street.

Run by father and son and I used to go to school with the two sons of the son, Carfield school, the family lived on Thorpe House Road .
No doubt now run by the son/sons of the boys I used to go to school with.

As it is still there must be a real family business, survived the passage of time and competition.
Always was a quality business.

Even in the midst of the dressing room celebrations (top right) it's amazing Harris is so immaculately dressed. Didn't even loosen his tie or anything. Must be part of his character.
Never seen him animated when he was sat in the dugout although he usually watches the matches from the directors box in the old John Street stand. Alf Ramsey in the photo below below reminds me of John Harris ice cool emotion

Hehe my old barber's was on London Road next to the Crown Inn. It's still a barber's today. Back then it was run by a guy who looked like Slim Whitman who asked you if you wanted 'anything for the weekend, sir? ' while cutting your hair.o_O
