Most streams I see are from the US feeds. It would be insane to move from current set up of all games broadcast. It WILL drive people to illegal methods

So I buy three (season)tickets for the lottery which will cost 2 x adults and 1 x child. Not 1 of them gets pulled out so I never get to see a game and I'm 700 quid lighter. That's a crackin' idea.

As I suggested at the start of the season for an away ticket ballot system, you could buy something that would give you a certain number of purchase opportunities for a season. So for example you could buy something entitling you/your family to 8 windows to buy tickets. Everyone over a certain number of points could have one.

I would imagine there’d have to be at least some kind of streaming service as a minimum. I’d have no issues paying for that if I couldn’t get in to every game.

if it is a ballot for season ticket holders I suppose you would not get your normal seat of even normal stand. You would be allocated a seat by email before hand and make your way to it.

Could be a bit of a novelty factor as in all my years of going to the Lane I’ve never seen a game from the Lane end.

This isn't going to happen the Govt are already predicting a 2nd wave by October the only thing I can see are more local lockdowns. How many fans are vulnerable due to health issues or have family with health issues? I certainly am in no hurry to go back to a boozer never mind a large football crowd and risk taking Covid19 back to my family when it would probably kill the wife, I don't hate her that much just yet. We may have 25,000 ST holders but I just can't see 25,000 renewing at present for obvious reasons some will have health issues some may no longer have a job to be able to afford going to football. I'd have no issue in principle, even happy to miss out, but it's an idiotic idea while we're still in the middle of a pandemic. Why would 10,000 people in the same place be a good idea in that situation? I mean, have socially distanced seats but people have to get in and out. Drink around the ground. Get to the ground. I'd sooner not have another spike in infections just so clubs get a bit of income.

No, a lottery is just that - you don’t need to buy a season ticket, just apply online and take your chances. I appreciate that there are three of you but these are exceptional times so we all take whatever we can get to see a game until normal service resumes. I’d suggest that tickets are allocated in pairs so at least we get the chance to go with a mate/family member. Wimbledon does this and it works just fine.
Once the restrictions are off, season tickets come back. In the meantime, the club earns more per seat than usual due to no discounting. And it brings new fans into the lane which has to be a good thing.

I can’t see how 40% can work, you’d have to have the seats in front and behind empty, does the whole row have to go each time somebody needs the loo? How do you stop people who can’t attend passing tickets on to friend who can? It’s going to be such a nightmare for club to sort out perhaps they may decide not to bother.

Could it not be done on the length of season ticket ? If you’ve had a season ticket for a certain amount of years you become one of the 40%

Sounds a good idea but like most of the ideas, there are pluses and minuses. I've had a season ticket for around 45 years so would welcome that idea but I go to the match with my daughter who has had one on an off for about 20 years due to work commitments for example as about 4 years ago she worked on Saturdays and then changed jobs so she could get to matches. I would hate for her not to be able to attend with me.

They move closer towards 20,000 and you only have to miss 4 games over the season. That’s the level they need to get to given family groupings and spreading folk out throughout all the stands.
40% is bollocks. How can 40% of Man Utd’s crowd be as safe as 40% of Bournemouth’s? Inside the ground is only one aspect of it, IF this is a safety thing.

Have to agree with you there - its the crowds outside and in the concourses that tend to mingle closely whereas inside sat down you are around a metre away from the seat near !
