Who'd have predicted that selling our leading / only scorer at Christmas would have resulted in that collapse.

Joking side, half the fans were happy with that sale at the time.

What wonders B'mouth have performed in 4 years. Quietly went about their business and now compete comfortably in the Premiership. Two sides to every coin, it shows what can be achieved if recruitment is smart, plus it requires more than just a dedicated manager to fulfill whatever potential the club has.

As for us..........what a complete waste of time, money, and whatever else we've been subjected to. Wasted hope, poor appointments, divisive hierarchy, small wonder we've been called the 'giants of Div 1'. Would happily be amongst the so-called lesser clubs in the Championship. We're about to enter the second half of this campaign, so a word to the not so wise at United; give Chris Wilder the support he needs and deserves. We've a fan-base who are fully behind their manager, so no cock-ups, fuck-ups, or implosions that will cause mayhem. Small miracles so far from Wilder and Knill, so with this in mind, give our management team the support they need to make promotion a reality this season UTMB!
Well said itsinyerblood and if Santa McCabe/HRH ever read these pages (laughs a bit) then if ever there was a time to speculate to accumulate the time is now. It might not take much if its done smartly and in Wilder/Knill we have one of the smartest management teams we've had for many many years so why not make that final push. If we'd been in this position 4 or 5 years ago and pushed on we could have been a Bournemouth or better by now. Please lets not hope we can get by with doing little and spend money in the summer if we go up, its not how to get ot of this league as many have shown. Sometimes it pays to gamble a little when the odds are in your favour as they are now.

All we had to do was keep Blackman in addition to signing Murphy. And then if we had any actual ambition on top of basic common sense, we would've replaced Shaun Miller as well.

Play Blackman from the right, Murphy from the left. More space for both of them. Promotion nailed on. But no. Let's sell our only goalscorer and attacking outlet.

We only played with those two in the team once - at Wilder's Oxford in the FA Cup, and won 3-0. So typical of United to give us a brief glimpse only to immediately take it away from us.

Including me, on the crazy basis that we were going to reinvest in better players.

Instead we got "Jonathan Forte: An Apology".

It's easy to say that, but this is the league table after last year's boxing Day matches:

http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/league-one/2015-2016/table/2015-12-26

Wigan (Champions) were 6th, 8 points off the top.
Burton (Runners up) were 2nd, level on goal difference with first placed Walsall.
Barnsley (PO Winners) were 21st, 16 points off 6th.

Not quite sure of the point here....except one excellent half season alone won't get you promoted!

My humour indicator tells me you weren't tell a joke but my irony indicator just went off the scale...
