Clean sheets in home games.

Testament to the improvement in defence this year, the conceding of long range efforts from last year have been seemingly eradicated.
Think there is one word which goes a long way to explaining this improvement -
- EGAN -
this lad is immense and has developed into a first rate centre back.
If he can start to attack the ball on offensive free kicks like Stearman did last night we will have a real star on our hands
UTB

The way that Egan moved from middle of the back 3 blocker to right hand sided CB with some footballing skills amazed me last night. I didn't think he had it in him.

I'd almost forgotten about that, but yes you're right. We seemed vulnerable to the long shot from outside the box. It's good we've got that one sorted because it will be Wednesday's main attacking threat when we play them - assuming they get out of their own half that is.

You should never tempt fate

I noticed it too last night - he's got a lot more comfortable on the ball now he's settled in.

Tufty's comment last week about avoiding injuries is another classic example.
