But he won't be playing regularly. Obviously, if Moore gets injured, we'd have a problem and I get that. But I'd prefer the youngster to be developed, than buy another goalkeeper, that won't play, when we could use that money in other areas

You've got to be careful with keepers at that age. Look at George. He's better playing U23s and maybe getting a run-out in the early cup games.

We need someone who can come in and play if Moore gets injured or has a loss of form. Competition is good.

It won't, because the money from West Ham cleared bank debt and we don't currently have any bank debt.

We need competition in EVERY position,and that definately applies to the keeper. The most important position on the pitch can't be left in the hands of a raw kid if Moore gets injured or complacent.
You wouldnt advocate doing it a CB or CM so why even think it at GK?

Will be very hard, he's only a 1st/2nd division player at best. Can't see many in those divisions being able to afford his wages, and the ones that could probably wouldn't be interested in him anyway.

Best we can hope for will be a loan in January subsidising his wages.

He was a good signing for League one to give us another option but it was a big short sighted, if he starts a game in this league it'll mean we've had an absolute injury crisis or our recruitment hasn't been anywhere near good enough upfront.

He scored 1 goal from January onwards. He is nowhere near championship level.

Him and Done would make a good partnership for someone in that league though. Not many goals though.

They're more likely to go on loan with us still paying some of their wages

Two Strikers (I'm not convinced by our options. Billy is the only one who will definitely start, and he'll not be a world beater at this level. Hanson isn't good enough. We need a striker who can create their own chances as well as assist Billy.

For me, that's the bare minimum. I'm not convinced at either Duffy or Brooks as a regular over 90 minutes. We probably need someone in that position as well. Carruthers can potentially play there as well, but it leave us a bit thin.

We also need to get players out (Done, Hanson, Wilson)

We were quite fortunate with injuries last season. Hopefully will be again, but with the loan system changes we need to try and balance having a big enough squad with keeping everyone happy.

Exactly all about competition not cover, also lets not forget Eastwood was behind Ramsdale a GK two years younger than him?
