I'd be surprised if we did, I'd also be surprised if he doesn't play a role, albeit a bit part, this season.I hope we can get shut of Hanson. Desperately.

But he won't be playing regularly. Obviously, if Moore gets injured, we'd have a problem and I get that. But I'd prefer the youngster to be developed, than buy another goalkeeper, that won't play, when we could use that money in other areasThere's a few on here who watch the U18 and U23 regularly. On a recent thread they said he wasn't ready.

Fair play. Still really hope we do.I'd be surprised if we did, I'd also be surprised if he doesn't play a role, albeit a bit part, this season.
There is more chance of us resigning Connor Sammon back than Mcabe releasing the 4 million from Kyle into the transfer kitty.
It will go into the same place as the 30 odd million from West Ham did.

Yes mate my mistake, no idea what that interview I heard was about then.I very much doubt that. He's only scored 125 goals in his career.
Not seem him play admittedly. But it seems like a massive gamble if Moore gets injured.
Of all the positions on the pitch not to gamble with ... keeper is the one . Never forget Lee Baxter!
I should think almost all of us will agree with that.We need competition in EVERY position, and that definately applies to the keeper. The most important position on the pitch can't be left in the hands of a raw kid if Moore gets injured or complacent.
You wouldnt advocate doing it a CB or CM so why even think it at GK?

He was a good signing for League one to give us another option but it was a big short sighted, if he starts a game in this league it'll mean we've had an absolute injury crisis or our recruitment hasn't been anywhere near good enough upfront. Will be very hard, he's only a 1st/2nd division player at best. Can't see many in those divisions being able to afford his wages, and the ones that could probably wouldn't be interested in him anyway.
Best we can hope for will be a loan in January subsidising his wages.

He scored 1 goal from January onwards. He is nowhere near championship level.
Him and Done would make a good partnership for someone in that league though. Not many goals though.
He won't cos he's crap at footy. No offence to him.Back off Hanson. He'll do alright give him a chance.
You're just talking shit ladHe won't cos he's crap at footy. No offence to him.
Well, I think we need:
A keeper (reserve - presumably will be a loan)
A CB (I'm not convinced that Wright will be able to step up. I'd also like someone with a bit of pace)
A CM (We only really have Fleck, Coutts & Carruthers who can play in the centre. Basham can obviously step in but then that leaves us thin at the back. We need someone who can cover for Fleck and play next to him when we're looking to hold a lead)
Two Strikers (I'm not convinced by our options. Billy is the only one who will definitely start, and he'll not be a world beater at this level. Hanson isn't good enough. Lavery shows in spells but all too inconsistent. Could step-up, but I doubt he'll be a regular starter this season. Ched may or may not get his form back but seems to have been carrying knocks for the last 6 months. Clarke has never done it at this level. I'm not convinced the pairing of Sharp and Clarke will offer enough at this level. I'd like to see a tall powerhouse of a striker who is also fairly skillful. We need a striker who can create their own chances as well as assist Billy.
For me, that's the bare minimum. I'm not convinced at either Duffy or Brooks as a regular over 90 minutes. We probably need someone in that position as well. Carruthers can potentially play there as well, but it leave us a bit thin.
We also need to get players out (Done, Hanson, Wilson)
We were quite fortunate with injuries last season. Hopefully will be again, but with the loan system changes we need to try and balance having a big enough squad with keeping everyone happy.
I don't want a new keeper, I like the idea of Moore and giving a new youngster (Eastwood) first team experience
You've got to be careful with keepers at that age. Look at George. He's better playing U23s and maybe getting a run-out in the early cup games.
We need someone who can come in and play if Moore gets injured or has a loss of form. Competition is good.
It's Les Dennis!

Do you think James Hanson is a good player? You're just talking shit lad
He'll be shown up in championshipNever lost in a Blades shirt. Plan B option every team needs one

Fair enough but a bit weird all the same
Yeah but I'm wank so that's not really a decent barometer for what makes a championship standard player is itHe's better than you
