A good performance overall, for me, but spoiled by two defensive errors from Killa. First one following the manwho was already marked and leaving Bednar on his own on the edge of the six yard box, then failing to deal with a high ball. Morgs had a couple of less damaging errors too, so maybe we just weren't quite awake.

First half, really enjoyed it. We harried and pressed like we should but we also played some decent stuff, looking short as much as we looked for Hendo. Their first effort on goal I can recall was after 35mins, by which time we'd had a few half chances. But as I said to the little Disorderly's at half time, we have to score. Dominating possession and pressing teams is fine, but you have to make it count especially against a top team. So, second half we just didn't seem on top of them quite so much and gave them a bit more room to play their nice passing game. I doubt they would have scored had it not been for our errors though. In the end, I was satisfied with a point, but it could have and should have been better.

I have said that we should measure ourselves against these kinds of games. Overall I thought we had the better of it, deserved more than we got, but the thing that was most pleasing to me was that if it had been the same team as was playing Reading and Burnley last year, we would have lost 2-0. Second game in a row where we've been able to come back and show a bit more battle hardness. All looks OK for me, we're making progress and with a very difficult set of fixtures to start the season almost behind us and unbeaten, then there is better to come.

Looks like I missed a cracking game, but having seen the goals it also looked like a rare off day for Killa? I was at the game but got a call from the Mrs after 10 mins to say La_Blade jnr had fallen and cut his head open. So it was a jolly old afternoon in the childrens hospital A and E and 3 sticky stitches. He's ok now but lost count of how many people saw my shirt and asked me how the game was going !!!

Mmmm, I had West Brom down as THE team for the division this season. We bossed them, outplayed them for most of the game and had them resorting to 'hoof ball' and looking 'same owd and cheap as chips' (is Adrain Chiles the Baggie BB I wonder?). But for a very strange display from Paris Hilton at the back (a few more displays like that and there'll be screams for him to go at all costs), we would have won convincingly.

Does feel like two points dropped, but for me it was a very encouraging display. Still think the front pairing needs a tweak or two, either in how they play or the personnel involved.

Just seen on the BBC stats that WBA didn't have a single corner. Can't be very often you play against the top of the league side and don't concede one.

Wonder how many neutrals would be surprised which team committed 22 fouls?

Not only no corners but only 2 shots on target as well compared to our 4.

Shots off target 6 to them and 8 to us so once, again our defensive negative tactics lead to us having more goal attempts that the opposition.
