How do we see this one going?

Despite our injurys I still reckon we can win this one. :)

Come on Blades!

Blades: Bennett, Naysmith, Morgan, Kilgallon, Beattie, Webber, Montgomery, Dyer, Howard, Quinn, Naughton. Subs: Halford, Cotterill, Stokes, Sharp, Spring.

Said Kilgallon has flu and is being sent out for the warm up to see how he gets on.

First half was rubbish.

Second half was a huge improvement. Especially when Howard went off!

As soon as we started to attack down the wings instead of hoofing it we looked much, much better!

Happy for webber:)

Especially when Howard went off!

Somehow those behind us slagged off Blackie big time for taking Howard off!

To the bloke next to me:

Well done for leaving after 30mins of the first half....

You missed three of those awkward periods for you when you have to sit looking as pissed off as possible, hands on knees and not smiling whilst those around you celebrate.

I don't know why it was relevant, as I was only explaining that sprinting 50 yards makes it hard to turn around and sprint 60 in the opposite direction.... But seems you were right, Danny Webber will never score another goal in professional football ;)

Well done Blades in the second half, after a frustrating first half. Cracking move for the first, great ball by an ill Killa.

Into 2009 and lets take the positives from Wolves and the second half today and push on!

Up the blades!

Awful 1st half.

Although far better second half.

Quinn MOTM.

Quinny says we were lethargic after Wolves, but then got a kick up the arse from Blackie.

He's got a bet with Ellis that he'll get 8 this season, he's now on 7.

Blackie gave em a bollocking and singled out a few, told them to stand up and be counted.

Says its great to play beside Monty who he thinks has been top notch since coming back into the team.

Sorry for the double post but....

Blackie apologises for first half when he thought we were woeful.

Everything we talked about we didn't do first half, but terrific response.

Said if he could've booed the team off first half, he would have.

Blackwell confirmed Paddy is on transfer list, feels that we run the football club and not the players and if you turn up late for training/have the wrong attitude then you'll pay the price. Maybe its just a sharp reminder that he's a Sheffield United player and needs to act like one. Hoping that nobody makes an enquiry, but that's the situation. Says you don't cut your nose off to spite your face and he's happy he had someone he can trust like Benno to enable him to keep the discipline.

Ugo had an operation this morning, effectively finished till rest of season. Speed has an operation on Tuesday, when they'll know if he has a chance of coming back. Dyer has started to learn what its like to be a blades player and has started to show in training, going to chat to Southampton. Robertson been in a serious car accident on Christmas Day, but is okay.

I agree with Blackwell on the Kenny situation. If a player has the wrong attitude, especially after all the club has done for him over the past few years, then it's his loss, so let him go.

I was really impressed with Dyer again today. His pace has been something we have been lacking.

Oh another thing. Dennis Wise was at the game today i believe. He was spotted by my friend on the train from Swinton to Sheffield. Apparently he'd come up from London to Doncaster, then Donny - Sheffield (don't know why...). So maybe he was here to look at Naughton?

He might have gone via Donny as it's often a lot quicker than a train to Sheffield from St. Pancras. As to why he was here, I've no idea. Trying to find a part of the country that doesn't think he's a nasty little twat? Unless Newcastle are going to sniff round Naughton in the transfer window. He could do a hell of a lot better than them.

Or Kenny, as has been rumoured before.

The Sheffield journey from St.Pancras has been cut now to 2 hours 10 mins, so i reckon it would be about 20 mins quicker to go straight to Sheffield (considering the Donny-Sheff train he was on will take at least 40 minutes). Anyway, this is kind of irrelevant:p.

Maybe he had come to speak to Kenny? Arsenal are supposidly after Given.

It may have more to do with his start location, than the distance or time.

I was on the train after the Palace match heading back to rotherham, and Alan Lee, Paul Awfull and a couple of other were on the train to donny.

I asked why, and Lee was catching the train fromDonny back to central london which he said was easier for him than the team coach. The rest just seemed to want a drinky-poos out of the watchful eye of Warnock :D
