Before the questions and general confusion start by the way... Wardy won't be playing on Saturday.

If its the usual result, who are we going to criticise the most?
Players?
Current Manager?
McCabe?
Birch?
Bassett?
Speedo?
Blackie?
Terry Robinson?

I'm not sure why but I get the feeling we might win this one. Recent evidence would suggest that we aren't capable of beating anyone but I don't see how confidence and self belief could get any lower at this stage.....all the players can do now is dust themselves off and go again. I'm not under the illusion for one minute that winning this will make any difference to us because I still think we will go down, but I just think that Derby aren't up to much and play with the same sort of fear we do. It will likely be a drab game but United are long overdue and wont get many better opportunities (he says after the Scunthorpe game).

I would put out the following side:-

Simonsen
Lowton, Collins, Nosworthy, Jordan
Riise, Williamson, Doyle, Quinn
Evans, Bogdanovic

Long, Parrino, Kozluk, Ertl, Yeates, Vokes, Bent

It doesnt seem to make any difference whatever side we put out, but for Saturday this seems like the most sensible approach to me (yes I realise Nosworthy is at centre half).

Prediction: Blades to win 2-0

I would stick Ertl at the back instead of Collins because he's looking worse every game and would give the Irish lad a punt instead of Doyle because he just doesn't look up to it. Other than that it's the same team for me.

If we can't beat a Derby side, at home, who are just as bad as us then it really is goodnight Vienna before the end of Feb (not that this was much of a month!).

So the two players you're dropping are Micky's two signings.

I hope you're not going to blame Micky for their failings.

McAllister? Why not, nothing else seems to be working.

If we cant beat Derby at home then yes I would agree with that.

Yes that's the man.

Looked way off the pace in his cameo against Villa BUT that was against a good team and he has (orshould have) another 6 weeks of preparation under his belt. Time to sink or swim.

I would agree with that, he looked a little out of his depth when he came on but from what I've seen of him on t'internet he has some raw ability that we could develop.

At this stage I think he's worth a shot, there isnt a lot else to call upon.

Not a season ticket holder, and part of me wants to attend this in some sick & nihilistic kind of way....problem is though is that the thought of me spending £30-40 taking my lad, to put money in these over-paid tossers pockets revolts me. I would rather wipe my arse on the money and flush it down the bog.

Someone give me a good reason to change my mind!!

Tell you what. Give me the money, I'll give you a nice soft toilet roll (I'll stretch to a Charmin) and I promise not to spend it going down the Lane on Saturday.
Save your arse getting scratched and the tossers won't see a penny of it. Win, win I reckon.

come on Blades, we have been crap but lets get behind them and roar them to 3 points

It could be a day for big "outings" as according to Mr Adams on the OS, "the Blades boss appreciates the significance of winning against one of their closet rivals in the table:"

:D

Derby are shit and have no spine so if we can't beat them at home with so much at stake we're doomed. I'm hoping for a one nil, late goal, for Glynn hodges read mr risse (sp?) and win the next six in a row. Coyraww!

Yes, I have been drinking

Simmo

Ronny, Ertl, Collins, Lowton

Riise, Doyle, Williamson, Quinn

Evans, Cresswell

Subs
Long, Bogdanovic, Yeates, Bent, Montgomery, Kozluk, Volkes

16500K (with protesters)

Score Blades 4 Derby 6 (neither can score and neither can defend)
