USG, CFI, Maneki. All questionable, All gambling tools, just not Blackjack and Roulette.

I'd go so far as to say a dodgy Investment firm (that was done for fraud) and a shitty meme coin are just as dangerous, if not more dangerous (and less regulated), than a UK registered online casino.
Can't disagree with the examples quoted - could have posted this a few times over the years, but for one reason or another I just chose today, though trading / investment is quite different to leisure gambling. Agree that all of the above were questionable to say the least.

I'd love to know what percentage of the fans against us having a gambling company sponsor us watch the funny Paddy Power videos?
A few usually because they are forced down your throat whilst watching sport which again is something that needs to be looked at. Its the aggressive marketing strategies that I disagree with behind all of the gambling firms plus the fact most are based in tax havens and get around different types of regs because of how their corporate structure are built. You could easily have 2 gambling companies ads in the same set of adverts during half time but realistically they are for the same holding company for example under the holding company Flutter Entertainment, holds the brands Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting and Gaming. The amount of times you will see 2 or more of those brands in the same set of ads but ultimately it's one of the same for the holding company, the holding company is worth around £35billion although it is floated on the New York Stock market.

Let’s not forget Randox who were at the centre of some Covid corruption scandal.

Not like Cantors where you could make your house a home.

If you love gambling so much why don't you just fookin marry it??

Graphically, it's decent. It's also encouraging that the Brand is willing to allow a change of colour depending on use-case. As has been said elsewhere, I was glad to be one of the few clubs to avoid betting sponsors, but let's be right, a Meme Coin is no less of a gamble.... Sky Bet Championship, digital hoarding that shows all sorts. The whole industry is interwoven with betting companies. At least this doesn't have the word 'bet' in the name. Lets just hope the money coming is worth the frowns.

I don't agree with giving gambling platforms this level of publicity and think that the industry itself is incredibly harmful, particularly to the younger generation. I think it's poorly regulated and a largely unspoken danger to society.
I'll tell you what other 'industry' you could be perfectly describing there. Universities.

A quick gander at Glasto or any climate or left wing protest march will back up that claim.

You're welcome. 😉

I've worked in and around the gambling industry for most of the last 30 years so have a dog in this fight to some extent so appreciate this isn't an unbiased view. I also have no problem at all with people who don't like the industry, a lot of what has happened and been done in the past make it inevitable that people will hold that view.

I'm not sure this sentence from your post is a fair reflection though, certainly not in 2025. The dangers of gambling are very well publicised and it's one of the few industries that gets equal stick from both sides of the political spectrum - the Daily Mail and the Guardian hate it equally.

It's also incredibly highly regulated. How many other things can you think of where you have to show your wage slips and bank statements before being allowed to spend your money?
I see adds for crypto currency but don’t go buy any
How many baldies went to Istanbul having had Dr Cinik as a sponsor?

It do appreciate gambling is a problem, and if you have been affected I’m sorry for that

But truth be told 99% on here won’t give a toss if a lad bought with this sponsorship money scores the winner to send us up

I gotta be honest I don't notice the sponsors at all after a day or two regardless of what it is let alone be influenced to buy what they are selling.

A cartoon meme coin cat was last year's one and I have to be honest it barely registered whatsoever after the initial wtf

Will it mean that kids shirts have an alternate sponsor?

I know the Utilita ones the other year were the alternative ones as the first team kit had USC and kids weren’t allowed to have a gambling sponsor on.

Further to that, weren’t Randox accused of something during Covid?
