Even in the PL with a massively underpowered squad we got to 16 points.

There’s no way they should have got only 14 points this season. I reckon Chesterfield or Grimsby would have got 20 points if they’d played in the Championship this season.
The first two thirds of the season at least, they wasted loads of their energy pressing and closing down trying to keep teams at bay and denying space instead of going at teams with their own plan and risking it becoming more open and stretched.

However they’ve managed it, I’m glad it’s happened. If their supporters had any self awareness they’d see how much of an embarrassment it is to perform how they have done.

They have no shame though and are content to blame Chansiri and the EFL for their players not turning up for a season.

Yes, that’s what Revo Jr keeps saying to me. You stick Doncaster or Leyton Orient or someone in there and they’ll get 25 points plus.

I don't know whether this is an unpopular opinion or not, but Wednesday should have got a hell of a lot more points than they have.

They very rarely get thrashed. It's usually one or two goal defeats. They've got a number of draws. A team like that should win 4 or 5 games minimum.

That Doncaster team with the current low points from a 46 game season (20 in 1997-8) had no resources at all, and yet managed to win 4 matches. Hell, we won 3 PL games 2 seasons ago and seven in 2021 when we only scored 20 goals.

I'm not saying they should stay up or anything, but that squad should not be this bad in results terms.

I suppose I'm saying Pedersen has done a lousy job.

I would also add that I am not sorry about this at all!
It's very similar to the United side in 2020/21. It was clear that we'd deflated quicker than a popped balloon after lockdown but even that woefully underpowered team was able to win 7 matches by the end of the season: all by a single goal.
