I can see this one being a bit grim :(

Match thread for Saturday's game...

Let's get behind the team! Don't wanna any abuse to begin with!

UTB!!!!!

Well, i'd shake things up as much as we can this week, which isn't much given the injuries!

Bennett
Walker
Morgan
Fortune
Stewart
Cotterill
Harper
Little
Reid
Evans
Camara

Subs: Bunn, Taylor, Killa, Quinn, Williamson, Henderson, Treacy

The referee is Trevor Kettle, who in an air traffic controller.

An apt profession, given our current tactics :D

Think we will start brightly and the fans will do their bit. However I think cardiff will weather the early storm and slowly but surely run our shakey defence a merry dance.(fans turn) Would take a draw now all things considered, but deep down I think this is the 1st home defeat on the cards.
Come on Blades prove me wrong!

The match v Cardiff

So far so good. it sounds like we have a totally different team out today who actually play football!!

There is hope.....

playing well though by the sound of keith edwards. i think we should get a result though.
I'd take a draw with a good performance

For gods sake!!! losing again.
if it weren't for my chicken kebab and chips i'd be biting my nails now!!

Jeez that's another 3 we've let in. At least it sounds like we're playing a lot better.

the performance sounds very positive but the defence are about as much use a chocolate fireguard at present

Well, I have (metaphorically) walked out of the stadium before the end of the match for the first time EVER.
Mostly because I just couldn't listen to the commentary anymore.

They did better today than they have in the recent past and that makes me happy. I'll leave it at that . . .

UTB!

spot on, something is needed to stop this rot we seem to find ourselves in.

Is that now 21 goals conceeded in the last 8 games. Our entire game plan for several years, excluding Robson, has been based on a strong defence. Blackwell needs to identify the reason(s) for this awful performance and get it sorted out, whether that is dropping or removing certain players, bringing in new defenders or some change in tactics and on the training ground.

I don't care what Edwards keeps saying, I'd have taken a scrappy 1-0 win today with the winner bouncing off a big red beach ball rather than a performance and a 4-2 defeat.
