I was just about to leave for the toilet when we scored. I think the draw is a good result for us. We could have been 3 down by half time. Little made a difference in the second half though!

KB - BBC SPORT said:
Jordan Stewart has played 11 times for us and he is not a left-back

That's a bit generous Kev, I don't think it'd be unkind to have said "Jordan Stewart, he's not a footballer"

Have you actually seen the league table? We're not in the relegation zone you know.

Were you living in a cave for the entirety of last season?

No on both counts!?

We are lucky to be where we are and I'm sure the league table will reflect that at the end of the season (i.e. around 10th).

Blackwell is slowly taking us in the direction he deserves to take us (spiralling down). He is out of his depth and it's showing.

Last season he was lucky to have a very strong squad of players and the league be rubbish. Our season transformed when he started playing Cotterill regularly and this was not out of choice. He relucantly played hijm et voila. Still, when it came to the crunch we fell flat on our arses (funny KB's teams have a habbit of doing that).

I just can't understand why people carry on defending Blackwell!?

My prediction is a dull 1-1 draw.

Was I right???

The point I keep making about KB that some people seem to want to ignore. He is heavily reliant on good players and has been wherever he's been.

At Leeds he had Healy, Hulse, Kilgallon, Cresswell etc. and got them to the playoffs through a stuttering campaign. As soon as they dipped in the final 2 or 3 key players left and they found themselves in the bottom 3, with a manager unable to get the best out of what was left.

At Luton he didn't have any star names but as soon as a couple left and the club got into financial problems, they nose dived! Possibly not his fault, I will concede - but he certainly didn't help the situation and they had a few competent players for League One level.

At United he came into a club boasting players such as Beattie, Kilgallon, Naysmith, Cotterill, Tonge, Ehiogu and last season had available Halford, Walker, Naughton etc. All these players have now gone, with the exception of the injured Naysmith. Despite this he still has a decent group of CCC players and he is found wanting.

Lots of managers get the best out of below average teams:- Holloway at Blackpool, Sousa at Swansea, Pearson at Leicester. I'm tired of the excuses...........

'Blackwell is slowly taking us in the direction he deserves to take us (spiralling down).'

Why does Blackie deserve it? He's done everything asked of him by McC.

He is a 'system' manager and players like Cotts who didn't like the system or struggled with the system have been replaced with players who Blackie thinks will cope with the system.
SOD is more likely to play a system to the players strengthens and Cotts may well have done better at Donny?

Whether Blackie is the man to continue is another debate but he certainly does not ‘deserve it’.

Yes he does! The guy is totally and utterly inept. He is an awful football manager and hence he deserves to get his teams nowhere. This is awful for us, but we have to face it that he is tactically naive, he can't attract players, his man management is poor and he can't get the best from his players. These factors all contribute to him 'deserving' nothing as a manager.

But he has had success in the past both with Warnock and without him.

Both however use system football instead of letting players have their heads.

I remember listening to a story told by Jan Molby about his debut for Liverpool.

He was sat in the changing room before the game awaiting instructions from the manager and there were non forth coming. [can't remember if it was Shanks or Paisley] At 2.50 he couldn't contain himself any more and asked the manager what he expected of him? The reply was; get out there son and I'll be the first one to tell you at the end if you're crap.

Sometimes you need to trust them and not stiffle them with method.

Remember being at Grimsby when Wilder brought the ball down and passed it into midfield. Warnock got off the bench and gave him a right bollocking for not hitting it long behind the opposite full back - now thats method/system football that Blackie still uses and stiffles the players thoughts.

He has however had lots of success in the past so why would he change?
