This is what’s annoying me, had it been a netbuster and his watch didn’t go off the goal would have been given regardless. That statement from Gallagher is a lie.I'm hearing all sorts of shit quotes this morning, such as Dermot Gallagher on SSN:
"The ref's watch didn't buzz, so he can't give the goal".
Why can't he? The process should be the ref decision first, then look to the technology. Not the other way around. The above quote almost suggests that the refs are being more passive, paying less attention "oh it'll be alright, if it goes in, the watch will let me know..."
