1996/97 Home Shirt

This is a long shot, but does anybody own a 1996/97 home shirt that they would be willing to sell? (or know where I can get one?)

It's my brother's 30th birthday soon and my idea was to get him this shirt as it was the one worn during his first season watching the blades, and get his name and #30 printed on it. I've checked all the classic shirt websites, ebay, amazon and can't find one.

Obviously it would need to be in good condition, and preferably size L or above.

was that the shirt that replaced the flying diamond version?
in other words one they rushed out without over thinking it, hence was the truest, least adulterated shirt we've had since 1973.

Have seen a few on ebay from time to time though, so I'd imagine you'll get hold of one.

Good thing about that shirt is the thickness of the stripes. Perfect width. Proper seventies style red and white no nonsense stripy shirt

Used to think this was the best shirt we've ever had, had it as a kid but that obviously doesn't fit me any more. Got hold of one a year or so ago and it's shit. Great design but the sleeves are way, way too big. Fit's alright in the body (size medium) but I'd need to have arms like a bodybuilder to fill the sleeves.

It was a shit fit. Good stripes. Poor badge.
Having watched the "United" doc again it was clear that whilst that kit had too many stripes, having stripes on the arms and covering the back can be done with just a box for the number. I hope the new kit won't have block colours on the arms or back when we do get the stripes back. . . And red shorts

Also my ultimate favourite Blades shirt. Gives me a nostalgic buzz just looking at the picture. I wasn't much older than 10 that season. Back in those days it's all you had to worry about.

its size 4XL - simply visit a jobbing tailor have them fit it for you and ask them to make up a 'silk' scarf from the offcuts.
