2-1 now so more like 3 mins added time

giving them time to run up goal difference if there'd been one goal in it would have been 3m minutes

Nice edit.

We had half the people on here saying there would only be 3 minutes added on because Liverpool were already winning.

Then the other half saying there would be loads of time added on because Liverpool apparently need to get their goal difference up.

As it happened it roughly landed somewhere in the middle which fits neither narrative.

All a bit daft really, isn't it?

Is this childish humour

In all seriousness, this season can't end soon enough because it's sending people mental.

The main talking point coming out of every game is how much fucking time was added on.

We're a joke.

Ooh lighten up.

But for clarity, when the post was made it was 1-1… obviously the ref needed to adjust things a bit when they got their 2nd, but couldn’t go too far off script as he needed to give the time for a 3rd so it wasn’t soo obvious.

If you actually believe that then you've lost the plot.

In all seriousness back, the time added on is a massive issue. Whether you believe there is bias or not is beside the point, games are being extended excessively for all teams, the difference being that for us, we don’t have a squad that can compete, we don’t have a squad that can compete with extra subs. It’s a physical thing. We tried to argue against this when we were up last time and it’s made the game less competitive, in my view

So whilst you don’t consider it to be a relevant talking point (ironically whilst discussing it), for a club like us or any small side coming up, it’s become a big issue

The board used to go up for 4-5 mins and you’d get a roar that we could do it, now it’s a case of can we hang on, can we survive without another injury, can we get our transport home, can we get a pint in…. Of course that’s if we’re still in the ground.

Anything more than 5 mins per half without a stretcher incident is excessive and needs looking at.

So because we're shit it's a problem.

If we're shit then we've got no chance anyway so what difference does it make?

We've been down since Christmas and every match is now just a series of depressing friendlies.

I couldn't care less how much time is added on.

That's the problem.

Because we’re then put into a dilemma as a club, as fans.
A) suck it up, have a terrible season and go back down. Embarassed
B) spend shit loads, risk big fines/ points and ffp issues as well as the clubs future

Last time around we could compete, now the balance has shifted. Personally I’d like to have players fit for a season and to be competitive as a grafting, organised side if we can’t beat sides technically

Last time around we didn't compete.

It was an embarrassing shit show and we finished rock bottom.

The problem is that we're not good enough to compete in this league.

However long matches are going on for is irrelevant.

Chelsea just scored their 3rd and 4th goals In 90+10 and 90+11 when they had 8 mins added time

It does seem like a conspiracy against the likes of us sometimes - the time added on away at Spurs, and at home v Fulham. Thought Asaba seemed to be hinting at
that a bit as well tonight.

We might be stinking the PL out a bit now, but to be fair we were the breath of fresh air and the media seemed to like us well enough when we was pushing for a place in Europe in 2020.

Couldn't the OP have gone with 19 rather than 18 minutes to get an assist for the open goal that would have been a Paul Hardcastle reference?
