Can Yeates be fit a week after dislocating his shoulder?
Franz Beckenbaur played the whole match in the 1974 world cup semi final with a dislocated shoulder!? Not sure whether this is a sarcastic post, but either way I'd guess (I am certainly no physio) that he'd be out for up to a month.

But he was one of the half-dozen greatest players of all time: Truly majestic whether in defence or midfield. I would happily have him in the team with two or three broken bones, in preference to some of our lot.
The Ricoh is a horrible ground - much preferred their old stadium at Highfield Road, in the city
I too much prefered Highfield Road. Really hope we never do similar in my lifetime and shift to a retail park bowl.
Me too.
I could never understand the point of Coventry's move. The new ground holds only 9,000 more than the old and Highfield Road was in good knick - they'd spent a fair amount upgrading it in the early 1990's. And of course, they don't tend to draw very well in comparison with capacity. This wasn't like Bolton, Reading or Derby where the ground was primitive or a dump, or like Arsenal where it was obvious that they could sell many more tickets.
My key memories of that game are Macello's goal, followed by him removing his shirt, revealing another United shirt underneath, and Kachouro's open goal miss in injury time. It was indeed a superb atmosphere.
A great performance from a severely depleted team. I remember the Match of the Day preview:
[Shot of Deano] "he's been sold"
[shot of Fjortoft] "and him"
[shot of Saunders] "he's suspended"
[shot of Rush, presumably mentioned because people have at least heard of him] "he's cup tied"

You've got your very favorite to deputise for him Nick Beckenmonty![]()
Agreed mate. It's all very subjective but most people would include some or all of the following [No goalkeepers allowed!]:
Pele [unquestionably head and shoulders above the rest]
Cruyff
Maradona
Best
Platini
Beckenbauer
Zidane
Montgomery.
I've probably missed someone obvious out - No Quinny, not you!

Decent point that. Clean sheet too.
Certainly didn't sound like a classic. But a decent, 'battling performance. Shame Squnniy didn;t take his chance to give Micky his first win (though it sounds like we got lucky with McSheffrey hitting the post and missing a sitter)
Well done Blades.
