Were we really outstanding? A fantastic win, but if Brentford could shoot we would have lost easily.

And if my Aunty had bollocks... Brentford were yet another team who came to BDTBL thinking they'd worked out how to stop us. As usual, they went home empty-handed. Apart from long-range shots and free-kicks, our magnificent defence (including Hendo) kept them at bay. That we did it with ten men was magnificent.

Brentford did come close to getting a goal but we missed a couple of chances to score ourselves. The Blades were heroes for that backs to the wall display banging in 2 goals and another clean sheet with 10 men. Most clubs would have been happy with a draw in that situation.

It certainly does. I've talked to some people who didn't go and they've got the impression that it was a 'backs to the wall', 'ten men behind the ball' performance which simply isn't true. As Rotherham proved, lose a man, think you can pack the defence and you're just waiting for the inevitable goal(s). Wilder and the lads reacted with imagination, bravery, fitness and no little skill against a good team. One of the most underrated wins of the season.
