A bank holiday visit from our beloved Nottinghamshire cousins ;)

On-topic discussion of the match and post-match reaction goes in here.

BDTBL should be rocking for this one.

Possibly no Jamie Ward so there'll be changes to the side. What are we thinking?

they have only sold 1800 so I've heard

they have only sold 1800 so I've heard

Suspect after winning today and getting out of bottom 3, they'll bring a few more. Can see it being pretty much a full house, both teams and sets of fans with everything to go for......big, big game but they all are from now on!

Lupoli in for Ward, and Hendrie or more likely Cotts for Howard.

Howard will probably play again. He's available for the Forest game I believe but then banned for 2.

Every game until the end of the season is huge for us.

Early team news......

Ward (ankle) struggling to face Nottingham Forest in what should be otherwise unchanged side.
Beattie, Cotterill or Lupoli eyeing starts

:)

Forest fans only had up to 5.30pm after their defeat of Bristol City to purchase tickets. They are fancying their chances after the last minute winner. It has certainly boosted their confidence, unfortunately.

Team news:

Jamie Ward is a doubt for the Easter Monday encounter with Nottingham Forest.

Davies has been forced to shuffle his pack recently to accommodate a large number of loan players - only five are permitted in a matchday squad of 16.

Julian Bennett (knee), Matt Thornhill (dead leg), Guy Moussi (ankle) and James Perch (ankle) have all missed games recently.

SSN are also reporting that Earnshaw is doubtful.

I hope he is out. The dwarf is bound to score otherwise.

Poor display.

Play hoofball even from the 15th minute when they went down to 10 men.

Not good enough today. Fantastic opportunity missed.

Poor result considering we were playing 10 men and a team that are fighting relegation. But I expected 4 points from the last 2 games and that's what we got.
We have to win at Burnley and hope Brum slip up to get 2nd spot. Wolves will win the league after their win today.

One of those typical frustrating games against 10-men who just wanted to waste time. A few had off games, often people hid... making it hard to do anything other than pump it forward.

Them having one sent off so early was the worst thing that could've happened to us. Clear headbutt on Halford, although he did rather make quite a lot of it. It'd have been a red card either way, but with that referee, he had to make sure he saw it.

I have never seen a team more obvious at trying to time waste than Forest and I have never seen a team so mardy when they're given the ball back promptly!

I thought Forest were disgraceful today.

Especially when they started kicking off at one of the ball boys.

Forest look like a team on their way out with some pathetic time wasting tactics.

Forest used every time-wasting effort in the book today. They ruined and killed the game. Sport is supposed to be entertaining, If I were a forest fan I'd want my moolah back.
We should have been able to break them down but with tactics like that, well.
They deserve, and I hope they get relegated.

A poor performance. Playing hoofball against 10 men is terrible. halford was poor, henderson looks for the foul every time. and howard is just shit, Why blackwell picks him and lets him play for much longer than he should have.

Next season we need to get rid of the shite, hendrie, howard, webber and sharp for a start and build from it.

Its frustrating that having a man extra and our players still cant move into space and make the extra man count. Amount of times we tried cross field balls and lost it was very annoying.

Big game today with brum only picking up a point and we cock up again. Just hope we can pick up for burnley, but i think it will be a playoff finish and cardiff the winners.

They deserve, and I hope they get relegated.

Agreed.

What I cant work out is forest never really went for the win, even though it would be vital for them, so at times they would have nearly all men back

The time wasting from then was a joke and the ref was really poor blew for everything.

Wasn't exactly the best, was it? I left more frustrated than owt else. I thought we absolutely slaughtered them, but didn't have that bit of extra quality to unlock it. Maybe Lupoli should have been brought on a bit earlier.

Exactly what sufclucy said, philosophically, in the car on the way back. It's just so disappointing that although we'd have settled for that on Thursday evening, but the three against Reading was manna from heaven, and we need to be pushing on from there.

Still, unbeaten run preserved too .....

I think part of that tactic was also because in the second half the sun was very strong, and so, a la Bassett, it was hoof into the sun to put the keeper off. Alongside the fact that we looked directionless when the ball eventually reached the floor.

Them having one sent off so early was the worst thing that could've happened to us. Clear headbutt on Halford, although he did rather make quite a lot of it. It'd have been a red card either way, but with that referee, he had to make sure he saw it.

Exactly what we all said. It turned their defensiveness into ultra-defensiveness.

I thought Forest were disgraceful today.

The ball boy incident was atrocious.

The Forest fans seemed rather happy with what they got to me. I too, however, hope they disappear to the wastes of the lower divisions.

Clear headbutt on Halford, although he did rather make quite a lot of it.

Haha, love it!

Never seen a man float to the ground in such a way! It was like he'd been knocked off his feet by something wonderful!!

Although, contact made or not, he put his head in Halford's direction so therefore needs sending off for violent conduct

Both ball boy incidents were disgraceful - one of their subs squared up to one of the ballboys when he tried to give them the ball back too.

Absolutely disgraceful. These are professional sportsmen and should act with some dignity. Giving the evil eye to a youngster who is trying to do his job is beneath contempt.

I can't complain at Forest's ultra-defensiveness, as it did the job for them. What I can, and will, complain at is their cynical diving which conned the referee every single time, and their dreadful timewasting. Granted, the ref added it on at the end - as he told them he would - but it still gave them an advantage.

The most hateful team I've seen at BDTBL this season. I hope they go straight back down too, and take their smug, deluded fans with them.

A potted history of Nottingham Forest.

Shit.
Still shit.
Still shit.
Brian Clough.
Shit again.
Still shit again.

Scum? I don't know how they have the cheek.

I also don't know how they had the cheek to sing 'you dirty northern bastards' at us.
