125 Million

Reckon we should withheld our payment unless we have it guaranteed in writing they don’t.

I don’t see any championships side worthy of extra cash , let alone the the porkers.
All the money should go to league one , two and the conference teams as they get very little tv money and sponsorship deals.
I would be incensed if this money save the pigs from a FFP sanction in the future

If its divided equally between all 72 clubs, then its just under £1.75m each. So probably about a month/ 6 weeks of wages for the pigs.

I’m sure it will be split differently; Champ sides get most, then L1 and L2, etc. But even if they end up getting £2.5m, its hardly going to touch the sides is it? It will be just another chunk of cash down the drain at Chirpy Chancers Money Burning Emporium.

And he’ll probably find a way to break a rule or screw up the taxes with it anyway, so that will be another laugh.

It's just an advance of money they were already getting from the premier league.

Outrageous if true so we are paying for the Likes of Jordan Rhodes to continue to get his full salary whilst John Fleck takes a 30% pay cut

Hopefully they'll be a rule about having to pay the non playing staff (ticket office, shop, cleaners, etc) and invoices from companies (catering stuff, etc) first (doubt it though).

You’d also like to think some of these big earners would volunteer to give a percentage to help the club staff. Whats Rhodes on- £50k a week? 10% of that for the month pays probably 15-20 lower paid staff in full. And that's just one player- if the top earners (£15k p/w+) chip in, they’d probably only need to give up 3% each to cover the lot.

Not just talking about the pigs there; its a fantastic opportunity for ALL top two or three division clubs and players to connect with their communities, make their regular loyal staff feel valued and give football as a whole a boost in the eyes of the public. Look after their own from within and let the government money they would have used in the furlough system go to the NHS, self employed and people who’ve been laid off.

Bet most won’t though.

True, although it’s proving difficult as the Premier League, FA, EFL, UEFA, FIFA, British Government, Donald Trump and the Pope don’t want them promoted because of the Hillsborough disaster.

You missed off Mossad, the CIA, the KGB, MI5, SPECTRE, Dr No and the pointy head bloke from Thunderbirds.

All true though, as it says so on NKT.

Plus the Aquaphibians from Stingray won't be too happy.

Listening to Ian Evatt at lunchtime only emphasises the importance of trying to finish the league season, and if that's not possible, finding some way of rewarding well performing teams over more than 3/4 of the season.

Barrow voted out of the league nearly 50 years ago, on the verge of getting back, and most of all the difference in tv money of 80 grand and 1.2 million.
