I have my ticket, who else is going?

Aye... went to fetch mine earlier.

Sat the row in front of my season ticket seat so I will get to monitor whoever has nicked it :D

First proper forum meet up of the season at the Golden Lion on Alderson Road. New members should come and make themselves known and old ones know exactly where to find us!

I've changed from family stand to south stand with me and one of my lads.Haven't been on south stand for ages so will compare the views.

Lets play Treacy, who looked decent tonight IMO, and Cotterill. Get the ball down, and in the words of John Barnes get round the back, get the crosses into the box from the byline and create those chances that were missing tonight.

Instead we probably see 6 or 7 changes and no chance for the first team to gel. I know we have a lot of games straight up at the beginning of this season but i honestly think we need some continuity, look what the Carling Cup did for Burnley last season.

Anyway off on holiday tomorrow and back just in time for Watford next Sat when i hope to witness a Hollandesque circa 1974 demolition of Watford!

UTB

I'm going, haven't got tickets yet but I'll probably move somewhere a bit closer to the middle (South Stand).

BTW, I've always thought the Lion was an away pub. Is that not the case? Certainly Port Vale are recommending on their ticket page that their fans should drink there for this game! Is it safe for kids? (if they allow them)

Been there twice last season, did not had the chance to meet some of you, will try again next week, maybe better someone recognizes me instead of me sitting with me John Smith looking for unknown faces....

We did get you a programme from the Sheffield FC game too DB... you'll have to come and hunt us down to find it :)

We're usually stood around the benches outside.

Since the new landlord took over a couple of seasons ago, it's always been home fans only. They'll get there are find that they can't actually get a drink...

Just rung up and ordered my usual 4 tickets. I go with my Dad and my 2 kids so its a family night out for us!

I know that there's never much of a crowd for the League Cup early rounds, but I always enjoy going to them anyway. For tomorrows game, I think a tenner for adults and a quid for kids is good value.

Just another point for all those travelling in... Rotherham and the Piggies are at home too against Derby and Rochdale respectively.

Might cause a bit of traffic heading through town and on the Parkway.

I'll be going, on the South Stand.

I miss my seat on the Kop! :(

I moved to the South Stand from the Kop two seasons ago and I don't miss it one bit. Guess I must be getting old :D

Actually, the main reason I moved was because my youngest son kept missing goals, chances etc. Everybody in front of us kept standing up when anything exciting happened, so we had to stand up as well and I kept forgetting to pick the lad up so he could see. It's much better on the South Stand as people only stand up to go home in there!

What's the predicted line up then? I'd say:

Bennett
Bromby - Morgan - Kilgallon - Taylor
Cotterill - Little - Hendrie - Monty - Reid
Robertson

It's a line-up that ended up playing a few times preseason and there was no info given that Reid was injured.

Anyone got any odds for Bromby first scorer? :D

EDIT... First goalscorer I've found 20/1 and 25/1

Anytime is 8/1.

I understood that Cotts and Hendrie were not available. Is Robertson still around as he was not given a number?

Oh aye... forgetting about Hendrie's ban. Dunno about Cotterill though... he came on as a sub on Friday night?

Cotts Evans Walker - INTL duty; Ward Hendrie suspended; Treacy Bunn on loan; Hendo maybe a rest. So left we have

Bennett
Bromby Morgan Kilgallon Taylor
France Howard
Little Sharp Robertson(?)Reid
Subs: Quinn Monty Haber

If he brings Brown and Roe then Killa and Taylor may also get a rest. Will be interesting to see.

Have to disagree about Monty on the bench, he doesn't need a rest ever, that boys like the duracell bunny (and I don't mean pink and fluffy :D )

It's alright... my brain's gone to mush. I'd forgotten about the internationals too!

It's Monday... it's only going to go downhill from here!

I'll be surprised but delighted if we don't go 4-5-1...

I'm sitting on the South Stand too, as the Kop's not open so I can't have my ST seat. It'll be interesting to see how the other half live ;)

It'll also be funny to see if those losers from the Blades Mad board have managed to set up their little 'Blades Ultras' gang who are apparently going to sing Dale Cavese. Ultras, FFS... I'll just remain as a supporter if that's ok.

Bennett
France Morgan Bromby Taylor
Little Montgomery Howard Reid
Henderson Robertson

Subs:- Haber, Brown, Kilgallon, Quinn, Treacey, Sharp, Foster

We might as well get Henderson used to playing alongside a big man, as it seems he will be paired with Evans in League games.

Not looking good. Lots of booing now. :( Oh I see Geoff Horsfield is coming on. :)
