We were in league one, on the verge of promotion then our striker Ched Evans was found guilty of a horrific crime which destroyed our season but more sadly set a further series of grim events in motion.

Exactly a year later our promotion hopes were again damaged as we crashed to a 3-0 defeat at Portsmouth who were about to be relegated.

So however we feel about this season and where we are, things have been a lot worse for us on April 20th!

that day at MK dons was like a funeral. Never known as large a crowd be as quiet and our bottle totally went. The fact that them cunts beat us to 2nd made it an absolute shit season.

I was on a train back from a meeting in Newcastle, I was refreshing the Twitter court reports like mad, saw Donaldson was not guilty and was happy as Larry.

The MK day was a nightmare as well, we wondered why the bus had an extra driver for a shortish trip and found out he was a mechanic. Bus broke down twice going and 4 or 5 times on the way back. Duct tape and water seemed to be the mechanics preferred tools! Alan Smith was also engaged to a mate of my Mrs and he scored the goal that day.

The atmosphere was shite, as it is at many bumper away crowds nowadays as everyone is battered.
