Some remember February 1st 2020 as Brexit Day (no I don't want to debate Brexit!) but for me it was one of the best away days I've been to. Not so much for the performance, we barely had a shot all game, but it was Berge's debut and the response of the fans after the game was superb.
It felt like the club was going somewhere, we were showing ambition, signing big name players. When we chanted about playing in Europe next season I believed it!
On the journey home I remember reading about a coach taking COVID positive people to a security facility after returning from abroad. Little did I know that this was leading to a chain of events that would lead to a pandemic that contributed to scuppering United's progress!
