United are offering subsidised Away Blade coach travel to their fans going to the Leyton Orient game in the FA Cup.
Initially we wanted to see a reduction in ticket prices - a move subsequently ruled out by the Football Association.
Now, keen to provide affordable football for our fans, we have launched concessionary Away Blade coach travel to help mitigate against the cost and to encourage supporters to attend the third round tie on 3rd January.
Ticket office manager Emma Wylie said:
"With the current economic climate and the fact that the game is played at the end of the festive period, we wanted to help our fans as much as possible enjoy the magic of the FA Cup.
"We had hoped this would be another occasion when we could offer a ticket deal to provide affordable football, and wanted prices set at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
"Instead, to help supporters, we are offering a subsidised Away Blade travel and ticket package - adults at £30, concessions at £20."
Match ticket prices set by the home club are £20 adults and £13 concessions. However, in the event of a replay at Bramall Lane, tickets will be priced at £10 adults and £5 concessions.
This match is all ticket for Blades fans. Tickets will go on general sale from 15th December.
Emma added: "We have been allocated an initial 1000 tickets, however up to 2,500 tickets are available. To qualify for the package supporters must purchase ticket and travel at the same time."
Due to the holiday period, supporters wishing to take advantage of this offer must book by 5pm, Sunday 28th December.
Seven pairs of wheelchair and helper tickets are also available. These are free of charge, proof of disability must be shown at the time of purchase and also at the turnstiles.
Ambulant tickets are also available to supporters on a higher level of disability. These are free of charge, proof of disability must be shown at the time of purchase and also at the turnstiles.
