On-topic discussion of our pre-season trip to the IMPACT ARENA (and with a name like that, it needs to be in capitals!)

Drawn 2-2 (Nicky Law & Jordan Robertson)

Hendrie had run ins with three of their players all night, United decided to sub him just before end to ensure he didn't get sent off - walked off pitch, threw his shirt on floor and stormed down tunnel.

Maybe his temper hasn't calmed!

he's looked very calm of late, so dunno whats gone on there!

At least it shows he's bothered though.

Hendrie can piss off if he's going to throw such childish tantrums and have run-ins like that against non-league players AND in a friendly. He's still got the poor attitude that most Premiership players have.

I cant imagine that going down very well with Blackie and Ellis. For me he is an overpaid tosser, strong views but it is after the 9pm watershed

Stephen Quinn did the same upon being subbed at Bury... should we get shut of him too?

Being condemned for showing his anger at a poor performance? Dear oh dear, what will come next.

If Morgs scythes down someone and injures them and sent off, it's because "he is showing passion". If Hendrie throws his shirt because of a poor performance or being wound up, its becase he is a tosser etc.

For those want him to be axed from the squad etc for stuff like this..... would you do the same to Wayne Rooney? Who apparently should have been sent off in a friendly for actions by himself after being wound up by MLS players?

I'm not Hendrie's biggest fan, I never wanted to sign him in all honesty. But he is here, he is a blade and for this reason we should be getting behind him. He has done nothing vicious or nasty since he has been at the Lane, he has been blighted with injuries, he went on loan because he wasn't pulling his weight, if Blackwell thought that then, but seems happy enough with him now, shouldn't we also give him a chance?

I've been to two pre-season friendlies, in both Hendrie looked good and seemed to go with the flow of the game and linking with players well. You never know, this could be the creative player people are wanting without spending the amounts that some people believe we should be spending.

If he can re-capture the form from his early Villa days, he will be a fantastic player for us.

someone else seeing the incident first hand seems to think that he threw the shirt to the floor when being asked to swap shirts by one of the Alfreton lot who'd been kicking lumps out of him all of the match.

I'm not all that sure he'd have been on the bench and warming up with the team today had he upset the backroom staff/other players.
