Perm any one from:-

Don't cheer.
Don't clap.
Don't sing.
Be in the car / pub before the final whistle to avoid the temptation to Boo at the final whistle.
Stand at the back with you back to goal if you must.

Booing is a cultural cancer at English football stadia and BDTBL has become its Mecca.

Does it help the players or management during a game / after a game ?

Does it make our club more appealing to prospective players in the future (players talk you know) ?

I'm not here to gain points or anything but I seriously question the role our fans have played this last few seasons and would cite it as a reason (clearly not the only one) as to why we are where we are.

The atmosphere has gone toxic very quickly. There is a them and us mentality and it's clearly affecting the players.

Mid table IS NOT fucking good enough. Not in a month of Sunday's.

But sulking about it will achieve fuck all.

It's got to the stage where I would much rather share an empty stadium of 3000 fans that could actually manage to control their emotions such that there wasn't a constant dark cloud of negativity over the ground every time we play. It's become obvious that some fans, WHATEVER happens, are just looking to come to the ground and vent.

Booing is bollocks. Period.

One consistent factor in the Wilderness Years is KM.

Another is a vociferous, opinionated, miserable, negative, but self-congratulatory and seemingly self-satisfied section of "fans".

There are other issues of course but maybe some of the "fans" are part of the problem.

Let's say Baptiste or even Adams were considering their future today.

No Thanks Nige, I'll try my luck elsewhere.
Fuckin ell.

Me n WHF singing from the same Hymn sheet.

I'm off for a lie down and straight to Doctors in the morning !!

Ok.

Can you accept that the so called 50/50 challenge comes with a higher risk of getting sent off today than it did a mere 10 years ago ?

Not sure as the old memory plays up sometimes but ten years ago I'm pretty sure we weren't 12th in the third division.

Question.

Your parents, I assume chose your actual real name.

Whereas you, I assume, chose your actual forum name and came up with, wait for it, Grumpy Blade.

You got no roof over your head ?
No clean water ?
No clothes on your back ?
No food in your belly ?
Got a Terrible illness ?
Missiles flying over your head as you try to sleep ?

Anybody out there getting any of this ?

If not I'll spell it out.

Until you've got something that's REALLY worth Moaning about, STFU.

P.s. Finishing mid table isn't, IMHO at least, in the grand scheme of things "worth" moaning about.

UTB

What's the alternative if you want to show them that midtable isn't good enough?
Do what I did. I forget they were even playing until I picked my phone up at 10 past 5 and saw the score flashes. True. I'd like to thank Mr Clough and Mr Adkins for giving me a lovely garden to enjoy dossing in on days like this. Cheers fellas.

Wow princess.

judging by adkins interviews it would appear that 'no' they do NOT . that is why everyone is upset mate. Adkins seems to think it is fine for us to finish 12th
Don't be ridiculous, we finished 11th

You're welcome.

Now I think about it, you also thought that Weir did a decent job didn't you?
He's right though it's not our fucking fault we are floundering in division 3.
Depends on how you would chose to define "our".

I can tell you it ain't the fucking Pope's fault fella so the buck starts somewhere within the club.

Or are most fans now perfectly happy with the them and us mentality ? Tends to suit us when things aren't going so well !!

We will still be fans when the current board / management / players have long since fucked off.

For what it's worth my definition of our does include the fans. As it well should. The fans being the single most important part of any club.

But sulking gets us nowhere.

Oh sorry - my hands should hurt from all the clapping today then and can't wait for the open top bus ride the club put on for staying up.

It's been one long Mardi Gras this season :-/

About what I have come to expect.

You really do see people for what they truly are in times of adversity.

P.S. At no point have I even inferred this year has been a clam bake so you have defo gone off on one there.

What is this clam bake you speak of? Does it involve baking clams, and if so what is the point?

Rubbish. Honestly, you are talking absolute rubbish. Our fans are fantastically loyal and very supportive and will support any side that shows any spirit. I'd advise any player I knew to come to the lane. If on the other hand you fancy stealing a wage or giving half measures you can expect a difficult time, and rightly so.

Way too many of our players have fallen below minimum standards this year.

If you believe this, which to me is in direct contradiction to all available evidence, then there's not much point continuing.

I think some of the "fans" are a big part of the problem. Often for reasons implicit in the post quoted. Though it goes beyond that.

I think you're a nob but as you have blocked me you will never know :(

Hate arguing with fellow Blades mate, but after watching today's game, surely no one can say the fans are any part of the "problem"?

You do yourself no favours with this line of criticism fella.

You question that the fans are largely pissed off, suggesting that we've now got a cohesive plan in place, which ought to be enough to placate them. You then suggest that a reason for our failings is the fans behaviour.

I really do respect most of your contribution to the forum, but I consider this angle to be verging on delusional.
