Will us playing before the rest have any baring on others results? If we win will Gillingham and Rochdale feel under more pressure?

It's going to be a long afternoon....

Good first half but poor second half.

Not sure what those inbreds were cheering about though.

Really? I disagree - they were better than us.

We had the clearer cut chances in the first half but they had the better of the second half.

No urgency at all about us in the second half.

Sounded as if the players or NA didn't do enough to win the game, a game we had to win, it has happened in many games throughout the season so it's not unexpected. Positive is there is no reason to delay the announcing the retained list and get an early start building a squad to gain promotion, is NA the man to build that squad, personally I am not convinced.

They nullified our threats, and as so often this we've not really had any plan B. That game was crying out for a change up front from about 60 minutes, put DCL up there and get amongst them.

It's no wonder we haven't won a game from behind all season really.

I thought we defended well though. Despite Jay Mac having a few wobblers in the first half.

I agree Adkins needed to make his changes much earlier and I thought Woolford did ok when he came on. He did some decent crosses in to the box which is something we were not doing enough during the match.

Problem is when you looked at the bench there was nobody there who would change a game. I'm not advocating bringing them back next season but someone like JCR or McNulty might have given us something different. We have rightly cut the squad but we have little game changing options on the bench if any

We did defend well I agree, but it was obvious we were struggling to break them down going forward.

Adams and Sharp both had a bad day, in my opinion Adkins needed to make a brave decision and take one of them off.

Woolford did look decent and i'd consider giving him a start at Coventry next week and v Scunny just to see what he can actually do at LWB. (He was a miserable failure at LM earlier in the season) If it's not a lot then I would imagine he's another we'll look to move on.

Yeah it needed a game changer off the bench which we don't have.

JCR would have introduced more pace but he never seems to want to cross the ball first time. :)

Exactly the way I saw it.

DCL for Adams?

Use his pace as Che is tired and the game is stretched, but the thought hardly sets the pulse racing.

I enjoyed the game and saw it differently from most posters on here. I thought we had the better of the game. We created more chances than Barnsley and, with just a tad more care over the final ball, we'd have scored. I thought Coutts was outstanding and I was impressed by Edgar. Although Barnsley looked a well drilled and physically fit side, they did not pose too much of a threat to our goal and George had relatively little to do. If only we had started to play with this level of commitment and organisation earlier in the season, this 0-0 score line would have seemed very much better.
