Compared with last season...

Yes if we have at least 3 wins in last 4 games we could have the irony of getting more than the 71 points that was good enough for 5th, than last season but missing out on play offs

We're going to sneak in. I just know we are.

We'll win the playoffs, Adkins will keep his job, the Prince comes good with his promise of investment upon promotion to the championship (although Adkins doesn't spend it all), we still achieve mid table safety in our first season back in the Championship. All supporters, without exception, hail Adkins as a genius, espcially for turning the squad of misfits in to world beaters.

Don't put Baileys on your Rice Crispies.

It's far too early for cocaine.

and then you woke up :)

One or two signings like Baptiste in January and no cocaine whatsoever would be required to predict such a thing.

Hats off to the club for giving up.

Win on Tuesday and we're 'on course' for 70 points (71 last season). Last year, under 'Bottler' Clough, we only got four points out of the last six games....

Makes you wonder how we still finished in the play-offs last year, maybe this division was shitter last year than this year....

The penny drops!!
All the teams beat each other, last season. There was only 19 points difference from a play off spot to being relegated.Last season 69 points was a ridiculously low tally to get you 6th place. Likewise so was 5th place with just 71 points. This season with 3 games already left there are teams in 7th place on 69 points
Put another way this season 78 points might not get a club a play off spot.

But the cult of Clough on here never ever saw how shit the league was last year.
They just trot out the tired old 'messiah got us to 5th' and Adkins is an abject failure.

Very true Davie, there were 2 leagues last year... the top four, who were way in front of the rest and a league for the shit, we were supposed to be in that top 4 but in the end we just managed to scrape into the top of the shit pile, thanks to clough`s non forwards in a forward role and his non centre backs in a backline role... oh and added midgets in the middle. It`s taken us almost a year to put that right. Just a shame this board has a policy of shift out before you can shift in players.

We are on target for 70 points.

:(

Indeed Ken, I've already posted we where nearer relegation than autos last season, when some blindly believed we just needed a few tweaks to make us certs to go up. The sad thing is how utterly shite the squad Clough left really was; problems everywhere in goal, defence, midfeld, and attack. I've been calling for patience with Adkins for ages as the problems he inherited are so long term and deep rooted.
Any idiot can (and he did) sign loads of poor, poor players, it is tremendously difficult to ship them out when they are on the best wages and contract of their careers.

That's that for the play-offs, then. And a good thing. There are feint signs of improvement, but much more needs to be done.

For the last time in the sorriest season, position-wise, in 36 years it's graphs-a-go-go! An absolute horror of a season which saw us go backwards and finally finish 11th. Any talk of 'if only we'd beaten Gillingham' etc. proved utterly unfounded as Barnsley proved with their fantastic win at Champions Wigan yesterday - we're light years away from a play-off place, let alone autos.

A season of utter inconsistency:

So, when were the goals scored/conceded I hear you ask? (Maybe not)

upload_2016-5-9_8-29-39.png

And who played their part...or didn't?

Surely not everything was bad? Well, no. A total of 455,478 happy souls passed through the hallowed portals of BDTBL this season giving an average home attendance of 19,803 (OK, last season the average home crowd was 19,805 but still bloody impressive). Average away attendance this season was 7,686.

Hope you've enjoyed my efforts over the season, and the 'Like' button is over on the lower-right. :D

Thanks mate. I do think your efforts deserve as much appreciation as Roys do. Both features are excellent for the forum.

^^^^^^^what Barney says^^^^^^^

Interesting that we hit the predicted points total exactly.

The writing was on wall by game 8 and confirmed by game 11.
