Haha! You missed out a whole chunk of it to change the meaning entirely. You're actually laughable.

You actually can't answer a very simple question with a yes-no answer.

I've answered your question, as you requested...what's the problem?

Whilst I agree we could do a lot worse than Wilder, whilst we continue to run the club this way, I have no confidence in any manager being a success. Adkins was a very good manager on paper but he couldn’t do it with someone elses squad and little room for manoeuvre in the market and if Sunjihi is right, will get the chop for that. There’s nowt to say it will be any different for Wilder or any other mug who’s daft enough to take this job.
I'm still 50/50 on Adkins at the moment,I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt..and there is serious doubt for what is barring a miracle, looking like failure to get us in the play off's ..that should have been the minimum requirement...If the rumours are true and he's on his way, then I wouldn't mind Wilder, although I'm only going on the job he's done at Northampton and the way he comes across in interviews, although I'm not sure what style of play he would bring...Whether it's Adkins,Wilder or someone else, somebody will get it right sooner or later.
Allowing Adkins to leave would be akin to a Blade leaving at half time. Just for its novelty value, why not stick with our manager for a change. IMO Adkn is the best hope of us getting promotion next year season
I'm not going as far as to say get rid, although we seem to have gone backwards this season..more commenting on the rumour, and could do a lot worse than Wilder...I wanted Clough to be given another crack at things, and generally like to see Managers given time..having said that I wouldn't lose any sleep if Adkins went tomorrow to be honest.

It's worrying because it proves we are putting a lot of responsibility on a man that has demonstrated his signing of poor players in Woolford, Edgar and Hammond. Can you not see how we're setting ourselves up for a bit of a (a lot of a) fall? He said we wouldn't sell Murphy. His words were "Look, Jamie Murphy isn't going anywhere". Are you denying he said this?

Adkins would've had the last say as to whether to go through with it or not. That''s presuming steps were in place before he arrived, we don't know that. He could've pursued him as much as the others he signed.

Unless everything had been signed off and finalised before Adkins arrived (doubtful), Adkins has to take responsibility. Probably explains a lot about you then if you think Hammond and Edgar are signings good enough for a promoting chasing side.

He does go on to contradict himself in saying something about "further down the line", but the point is if he had any inclination as to what might happen in the future i.e McCabe selling Murphy, he shouldn't have led fans to believe we weren't going to sell our best player, again, by uttering the former part and everything afterwards.

Appointing Chris Wilder does not excite me, who knows, he could be the Messiah, but here and know I would not be excited at the appointment, I am in the stick with nigel camp, unless an appointment really excites me of course, bit like the appointment of nige last year really.tough discision, who the hell knows.

I think by mutual consent Mr Adkins is staying by order of the board. The only way he would have gone is relegation or in danger of.No manager would be introducing the young prospects we have if is job was in danger. over 300 posts on this subject and the mole who started it wants rooting out as he probably is a pig fan stirring the shit

What the club needs to do is give the fans direction/answers.

I'm not for swapping the manager but I feel equally as strong that Adkins might not be the right man.

I've hung on to hope that there is a plan in place that involves a substantial clear out at the end of this season and the biggest re-build in our history.

If that is the case and we have a plan then tell us, let us buy into it. If we are doing this then Adkins will be cut some slack and we'd understand why our precious darlings are not performing if they know they have no future.

If there is no plan and we are just bobbing along and taking each week as it comes trying to do our best then tell us, again we can buy into it.

Tough times either way but I hope its the long term planning we're on not the latter but with this lot who knows.

There is a plan in place Grumpy and it revolves around Adkins he's got a 3 year contract and charged with getting us out of this league ( the right end ).
He has said 50%of the team home grown, that might be stretching it a bit but it's a good target to have. No way can we build a successful team without
Recruits via free transfers and others costing a transfer fee. The plan is there to see to know how much it will cost is down to the powers that be , but it won't come cheap and the prince and Mr Mccabe are all too aware of this.As you say Grumpy we have an opportunity to build from a smallish squad (releasing a number of players not in our plans ) .what do you want the club to come out and say !! ? Obviously they have to back Adkins ( he wouldn't have taken the job otherwise ) To give a figure is not wise as it just puts prices up ( and we pay a premium anyway being a big club in the wrong division.)
I have said before losing money hand over fist in this division is not sustainable so you can bet a concerted effort will be made next season if we don't sneak up this season through the back door.I think exciting times are ahead beleave.!!! .

One things for sure......

Believe? Or behave?

Been told today that nothing has changed. The plan this year relative austerity, next year investment. In Adkins' program notes there's hints at some new academy signings - not the signs of a dead man walking. If Sun is a personal friend of KM the above could be wrong as his source would be better than mine. The mutual consent seems like bs as there's no break clause in his deal. It'd cost United a years wages and a weekly wage (until his next job) to pay him of at this point. Not to mention his staff. Would you waive this?
