It's not April 1st - but this is still a joke.

Maybe Adkins wants out because the board haven't backed him as agreed?
How are Watford getting on?
How?You've missed the point.
No one at the club will be strong enough to make sure the dross is moved on, they'll either renew some contracts or leave everything in the hands of the new manager. No one at the club will give the new manager worthwhile help or advice. The new manager will inevitably give chances to those under contract who have attitude problems. Any transfer budget will be mostly gone. The chief scout will probably move on with Adkins and we potentially won't benefit from anything he's found.
How?
probably Sammon !!Wonder which season long loan Adkins has lined up the new manager will have to sign like Sammon

You said all managers "give players a chance". I provided an example of a club that hasn't, that also happens to be doing well. It's almost as if he must have watched footage and asked reliable professionals to enable enough time to get in the players he wants.By misunderstanding what I was posting about and talking about something else irrelevant.

Smells like microwaved diarrhoea

That's still the fault of the Board though surely?
Got my season ticket - and now I'll get 10% less back when I return it.![]()
I think he might have seen Sheffield United and thought "big club, 5th placed finish, one or two poor signings I won't really need to put any effort into and I'll be able to make up 3 positions no problem, especially with my magnificent coaching abilities. It's a shite league any way". Perhaps he's realised he was being a bit of a dreamer. The chief scout doesn't seem to have come up with anyone. May be lack of funds, may be lack of application, may be due to thinking we aren't going to be here long.
To be cynical, is Adkins saving Hammond by bringing him off these days rather than risk an injury that could affect a deal in the summer?
As I said, maybe it's Adkins that wants out, because of the board or maybe he hasn't got the bollocks for the job. Who knows?
The presumption here is that it refers to Adkins - what if it is a player who has a contract beyond the end of the season, or a change in the Boardroom?
