Maybe the fans should answer some questions as well as ask them:

What price would you accept for Ché?

More convoluted: If someone comes in with an offer to double/treble Ché's wages and gives him the chance of first team football in a higher division, and he hands in a written transfer request should we still hold him to his contract? In these circumstances, what price should we accept?

Hey, that's changing the rules!

Nigel, would you endeavor to stick it up ones rear end if we are not running away with the league come December?

This would be a fair question, however, the Technical Board" has effectively been terminated, as of February this year

But are persons at boardroom-level still making transfer decisions with regard to on-field matters?
Our lack of action in the JTW appeared to be this result of people other than Adkins deciding that there was nobody of value to add to the squad, judging by what Phipps' statement said.

That would assume they had balls...

See below, posted March 19th

The Technical "team" is no more

There was supposed to be a "process" put in place that ensured we only bought players who fitted certain criteria e.g below a certain age (not 35 :)), having a re-sale value, being a certain physical size, having played more than 50% of available games in the season before signing for us

These are all the type of policies that are in place at the likes of Swansea & Watford (among others)

Our manager has declined to work within these parameters at present (he has to win matches NOW) and effectively has a direct line to Mr McCabe: hence the speed with which the Baptiste deal was concluded

Baptiste wouldn't have fitted the parameters of the suggested "process", however, he may prove to be an excellent loan signing

Who knows?

Uhuru surely?

Nah...

Will the reduction in ST prices make the budget smaller than what it would've been, had you not kept the prices the same?

Too many questions in this thread with easy answers. Best I can come up with is:

Given that you've stated that sufficient finances for success have always been available, and that you've always given your full backing for the manager of the time, why should fans expect the future to be different to our last decade of increasingly poor performance on the pitch?

Edit: follow up question: Isn't that exactly what you said with the last eight managers?

Afaict this is not a question - it's an accusation.

There's no attempt to get at information here: it's just a wordy way of saying, "You're crap."

That would be another good question. We sign terrible players without any thought or hesitation but when good players are available we make sure the manager must jump over a thousand hurdles to get the deals done, and inevitably fail to sign them.

I'd also like to ask them how Conor Sammon was signed and who sanctioned that deal when we had no manager.

Can I be greedy and ask loads?

1. Why did you not sign at least 2 centre halves in good time before the season started? Why did this remain the case throughout the entire season?

2. Do you think this is incredibly dissapointing and really bizarre with the unanimously well known fact, of which you have been aware of at all times, that at least 2 centre halves were desperately needed as top priority?

3. Why did you opt for 2 strikers instead as well as ending up signing 4 past it no hopers of whom are nowhere near good enough for promotion and yet are on far more than players playing for teams well above us in the league? Was this a wise thing to do?

4. How much of an impact do you think this has had on our league position comparative to expectations at the beginning of the season, as well as considering the commonly shared opinion that 4 or 5 quality players was what was needed to achieve promotion this year?

5. Are you going to undergo hypnosis to detach you of your horrible interview technique, which has seemed to act as further fuel to the angry fire following dreadful results? I would prefer it if you didn't tell me about how excellent we were after a defeat to Shrewsbury at home.

No.

What's the best way to get the sponsors logo off the shirt?

What was that?
Finish well outside the play off positions?

Fuck it. I thought it was summat to do with brown paper, a towel and an iron.

Mine:

"How many seasons of continued decline do we, as fans, have to endure before you put the fucking club on the market and piss off for good?"

As a secondary:

"Given you flogged Murphy for an undisclosed sum just after the season started and reckon you have shat eight million bucks into the club in this season alone, and have shat another one million on a pitch on which we see absolutely zero improvement in output, do you think we think you are a competent executive who leads a practical, forward-thinking board?"

pommpey

Series one purists, yeah right. Only because you know she could take an eye out with blennies like that.

Back on topic, what I want to know, is why does no actually have only one question?

As leader of a seriously under performing football club, do you as custodians, plan on more careful statements, that don't mislead or raise the hopes of the fan base?

Notable examples include:

* We no longer have to sell our best players
* The Murphy transfer fee will be available for the first team
* Money will be available in January to strengthen the first team
* Any bullshit relating to us and the premier league

A more reasonable question about the pitch would be ...

" has the Desso pitch significantly reduced maintenance costs compared to past years and is there an expected saving in future. You useless fucking c**** "

Some questions, and follow on questions:

Do the board have any input on the profile of players we sign ? (age, injury record etc)
Does the board and manager favour signing players from higher leagues on large wages, or young players from the lower leagues?
Does the potential resale value of players enter into the equation when making player acquisitions?
Are the board happy with the fees received for our big name outgoings?
Dou you think there sale benefited or harmed the club?
Are the board happy that there is a plan/ethos in place that is not wholly dependent on who the first team manager is?
Will this plan and ethos continue in spite of the success of the incumbent manager?
In light of the (EPPP) legislations (favourable to rich clubs), do the board see a means of preventing the academy becoming merely a cash drain/white elephant?
Is there a plan to upgrade the academy from category two to category one to help prevent this?

Afaict this is not a question - it's an accusation.

There's no accusation. A decade ago we were in the Premiership. A few years ago we were finishing third in League One. Even last year we made the play-offs. This is is set to be our worst finishing position yet. That's deterioration in the quality of football. It's a fact.

The question then is of what material change will occur to bring success. What do the board plan to do that is different, what do they believe the failings were, what have they learned?
