What a Bloody Good Result Today

I would say that we're probably more like 6 or 7 players short of a genuine promotion chasing squad ........

You need to be consistent in this Division as most teams are as bad as each other ......... which is the reason why some of the more optimistic Blades are still talking about the play-offs

when fully fit , which we started well short of this season we could put out 7 or 8 of a team that with the right incoming could get 2nd
I still think the players at our disposal now should , led correctly could make a play off spot with ease
Theres been far too many changes, players like Done stuck in alien roles, A forward should play up front its simple
Wouldnt expect Jamie Vardy playing full back for Leicester even with tinkerman in charge, but we have seen full backs at centre back .
Basham wasted playing too deep , all the choices made have been poor

Done started out as a Full back, only played 18 months as a forward, Him playing LWB is not Alien its his position

so we bought Done to be a full back , your saying
gareth bale started as a full back
will man utd offer 65 million for his defensive capabilities this summer

we need his goals from midfield to win games , well that was my first thought we have enough full backs

and on skys coverage was mentioned we had biggest crowds and had spent the most , but were moving into bottom half

The link you've highlighted shows their opinion on the market value of the squads in league one.

That doesn't say we've spent the most in the league. It certainly doesn't say we have under Adkins.

For example, it includes the perceived value of players we've produced ourselves, and not paid money for.

Try again.

I just don't think that we have 7 or 8 players who are consistently able to do the business in this agricultural division, which means that they're not capable of getting us promoted.

My thoughts are that ( despite the Walsall game ) we should continue the culling of the first team squad, and only retain Long, Sharp, Adams & Brayford in the summer.

Baptiste may be a good shout for a season long loan next season, especially if 'boro go up .......

The rest ....... bye !!

And not a particularly credible opinion either. Conor Sammon is our 4th most valuable player in the transfer market? Really? Nearly double the value of say Bradley Dack? Che Adams has the same market value as ageing failure and legendary penalty expert Andy Taylor? This has clearly been put together by someone with lots of time on their hands but bugger all knowledge of League 1.

Yet these are apparently "facts" that we're unaware of.

Well in fairness I was unaware of just how valuable Sammon is. Perhaps we should sign him on a free this summer and sell him immediately for that sweet half million. Easy money.

And it was nice of the owners to spend all the money buying him when he's only on loan.

No wonder we're "the league's highest spenders"!
