That Bradford win today has pulled Millwall and Gillingham back into the mix and suddenly it becomes three places to play for.

Gillingham - the only have Bury and Shrewsbury to play who are not in the mix challenging.
Millwall - still have Burton, Gillingham, and Coventry
Bradford - Coventry, Walsall, Southend
Barnsley - Port Vale, Burton, Us, Wigan
Rochdale - Wigan, Gillingham, Port Vale
Coventry - Gillingham, Millwall, Wigan, Bradford, Us
Port Vale - Barnsley, Gillingham, Rochdale, Walsall
Us - Southend, Walsall, Gillingham, Barnsley, Coventry

Also Walsall, whilst four points in front of Gillingham have to play 8 games in April including 6 in 18 days. How deep is their squad?

I don't think the fat lady has even got changed yet.

How deep is their squad? Is their squad? How deep is their squad? The question that has eluded mankind for an eternity.

After Monday's games we'll be 9 points off the play offs, with a game in hand.

We'll lose at Southend. 9 points off the play offs with no game in hand.

We lose to Walsall. 12 points off the play offs. Overweight woman bursts into song.

I more or less agree, all I'm saying is whilst ever there's a small chance you have to do all you can to take it, there's no point in giving up completely, otherwise what's the point!

Those that are saying we need six wins aren't right, what we need to do is accumulate more points than the 5 teams above us. The teams above us might crumble under pressure as the end of season looms, nothing is set in stone when football is concerned.
We live in hope.

Southend, Wallsall and Gillingham - win those three on the bounce and it would be our best run of the season - 4 wins in a row - then we could add some reality to a play-off spot.

We won four in a row back in August.

Only conceded 1 goal as well.

Been saying it for weeks Wizadry ! still all to play for,but as you say we need to show the consistency that's been lacking all season .By playing this system (3-5--2 ) Adkins has thrown caution to the wind ,not actually gone gun Ho but he sees we can't defend properly. It's a gamble willing to trade goals
but I think he realises that this formation gives us more momentum ( front foot ),if we can get a few wins on the bounce ( others have done so why not us ) we could have a really great finish to the season .The next two home games are massive (Walsall&Gillingham ) it's vital we get behind the team as both games are winnable ,if we as fans show negativity early in the game it will make it doubly difficult and encourage the opposition.
How's about us helping to make the lane a fortress again , ime sure the players would respond to the kind of backing we have given in the past.We can make a difference and be the 12th man .The noisee we can make does put the opposition on the back foot and gives our team a big lift.If we can put our frustrations to one side for the last few matches I think we could all be surprised what this present squad can acheave. We've nothing to lose so how about it fellow blades.

The problems we face are:

Momentum - we don't have any.
Belief - the players don't have any, the fans don't have any.
Good team management - Adkins coming up very short.
Good players for this league - not enough.
Consistency - consistently inconsistent.
Teams raising their game against us - every single one. They should dread coming to the Lane.
Alienated fanbase - definitely.

Sort that lot out and we'll get out of this league.

OK, so i've had a few whiskies and the England game has just been on but I still think we will sneak into the play offs. Glass half full, yep, that's me and if not there is always next year.

Our form is nowhere near good enough.

There's plenty to be optimistic about for next season but we were a distant and totally ineffective second at Millwall and after we yet again squandered chance after chance 3-3 today would not have been unfair. Against a very poor team.

8 games. 5 against teams above us I think.
What is the optimism regarding next season? I fear catastrophe next season and cannot see a glimmer of hope. Sorry.

This season.

It's always on until it's mathematically not on. Let's not be defeatist. Was Churchill defeatist?

No he believed even when the odds seemed impossible.

Come on you red and white bang average bastards!!!

To be fair, we can't expect to compete with such footballing giants.

This talk of the play offs is silly though. With the McCabe / Adkins dream team - and only a handful of players fit to wear the shirt - the real question is will we manage to finish top half?

Final nail in the coffin Wednesday night IMO and bottom half for the first time in a long time.

Even Oldham and Blackpool have won. So we're now only 14 points above the relegation zone.

Whilst it's mathematically possible to go down...

7 L1 games and 6 have ended 1-0... imagine if you had a 7 team accumulator with everybody to win 1-0 at odds of 75 billion to 1. gutted.

We really need Millwall to lose or draw tonight
