After you.Let's have a poll
but I think turning yesterday's first half into
is perhaps beyond us at the moment.
- 90 minutes
- consistently
- over several games
- against even half decent teams
TopAfter you.
I am really trying to be optimistic about next season...Our form is nowhere near good enough.
There's plenty to be optimistic about for next season but we were a distant and totally ineffective second at Millwall and after we yet again squandered chance after chance 3-3 today would not have been unfair. Against a very poor team.
8 games. 5 against teams above us I think.
mathematicallyI did wonder how an American spellchecker can give out incorrect variations of a spelling. Alternatively, of course.
we cant put a run together so forget it.
due some defeats then , this is when the pressure starts to buildBradford and Barnsley, also Rochdale and Port Vale have only lost 2 in last 10,
Barnsley won 8 on the bounce after winning 1 in 10If results don't fall for us on Monday it could be a wider margin. Whatever the gap our problem remains we cant consistently win back to back games (December the last occasion I believe) never mind the 5/6 that might keep us in with a shout.
Barnsley won 8 on the bounce after winning 1 in 10
footballs never predictable
if we win all our games 79 points is a near certainty for the top 6
so all we have to do is win them , easy
It could be our lowest finish for a few decades..............![]()
Surely that's what Adkins is doing
Mr Foulkes
I am all for being optimistic but the reality is there is little or no evidence to suggest that can happen, we are totally reliant on other teams imploding in the final run in IMHO
It's a good job that those last ten games have nothing to do with the outcome of the next eight then.Bradford and Barnsley, also Rochdale and Port Vale have only lost 2 in last 10, and we have lost 5 and no sign of a miracle revival.
100% we are not going to make the play-offs.
At this point in the season the gap between us and Bradford/Barnsley is now too much, they are not going to drop many points.due some defeats then , this is when the pressure starts to build
Very true, but it shows we have 4 clubs above us with better form, and they also want that 6th spot. It's a good job that those 10 games have nothing to do with the outcome of the next 8 then.![]()
They obviously have more chance of getting that 6th spot than us as they are higher than us now but form is always temporary thus giving us a chance to change ours, unlikely as that looks, lets play until it's maffermaticlyVery true, but it shows we have 4 clubs above us with better form, and they also want that 6th spot.
We will need to show a remarkable turn in form to hit 6th. Anything is possible.......That Bradford win today has pulled Millwall and Gillingham back into the mix and suddenly it becomes three places to play for.
Gillingham - the only have Bury and Shrewsbury to play who are not in the mix challenging.
Millwall - still have Burton, Gillingham, and Coventry
Bradford - Coventry, Walsall, Southend
Barnsley - Port Vale, Burton, Us, Wigan
Rochdale - Wigan, Gillingham, Port Vale
Coventry - Gillingham, Millwall, Wigan, Bradford, Us
Port Vale - Barnsley, Gillingham, Rochdale, Walsall
Us - Southend, Walsall, Gillingham, Barnsley, Coventry
Also Walsall, whilst four points in front of Gillingham have to play 8 games in April including 6 in 18 days. How deep is their squad?
I don't think the fat lady has even got changed yet.
A quick look at our fixtures shows that twice this season we stringed 3 league wins together (August and December), we need to better that and as much as I would love to see us reach the play-offs I just cant see it happening. They obviously have more chance of getting that 6th spot than us as they are higher than us now but form is always temporary thus giving us a chance to change ours, unlikely as that looks, lets play until it's maffermaticlyimpossible.
I more or less agree, all I'm saying is whilst ever there's a small chance you have to do all you can to take it, there's no point in giving up completely, otherwise what's the point!A quick look at our fixtures shows that twice this season we stringed 3 league wins together (August and December), we need to better that and as much as I would love to see us reach the play-offs I just cant see it happening.
