Well done to him on earning a place in the line up today and by all accounts having a confident and assured starting debut. I really hope he goes on to be a main stay in the first team for the rest of this season and potentially being a reason not to spend as much money for next.

He played very well ,I like his type of player ,Adkins should have brought him off 10 minutes earlier though as he was struggling a bit and losing his way ,he had cramp for a while but didn't want to go down ,that could have ended up as a strain. Wasn't comfortable with a midfield 3 of Reed-Flynn-Whiteman ,it needed a bit of experience and strength in there but I didn't realise Hammond was ill. The back 3 were very good today and we played higher up the pitch enabling the midfield to link with the forwards. Collins leaving is like a breath of fresh air round the place ,the atmosphere seemed so much better today ,he really was a problem around the club in my opinion.

Whiteman played some nice crisp passes, and he seems to have a football brain.

I agree with that. The back 3 and George Long seemed to have a lot more confidence about them.

The one player I thought in our defensive unit who looked absolutely outstanding today was Jay McEveley, based on today and recent performances I would give him another year in the summer.

Collins was a fucking shit house who has reportedly caused trouble behind the scenes as well as being a useless twat at centre half and blaming others.

I said the same to Brownie that it's helped behind the scebes.

From hearing Adkins pre match interview there was no love lost. Clearly he was the bastard who Adkins was on about post Burton

Exactly what we said today ,the bottle that guy has shown too to battle through all the ridicule and hostility.
The other thing we said today was when Oldham fans chanted 'Loyal supporters' near the end ,which I haven't heard in years. The one chant that shows your team are really really shit :)

You will to get the best out of anyone in the workplace if you continually make mistakes and blame others, the bit you got spot on earlier was your comment about "what the Adkins playing at making a part of the players management committee

You can always tell it is a good day with Big H wants to complain about leaving early

Well said.

It's up there with "we'll support you evermore" - not heard it for ages but it was always a sure sign that you were at rock bottom.
