I'm struggling on getting a version together where the Americans don't interfere in the internal goings-on, the revolution is successful and Che doesn't die.:D
Hmmm, be tricky getting anyone to join in with that one.

Think, I`ll stick with `George Long, George Long` etc etc

As always the accusation of lazy and workshy is lazy and workshy.

Dominated at Rochdale.

Burton beat us with their 21st 1-0 win of the season. They made us look poor.

First half at Fleetwood dominated that too. Not seen second half yet.

Edgar and Bash need to play together - consistency of team selection and maybe we'll tighten up. That's where their goals came from.

If we're going to persist in thus accusation of workshy who is workshy?

The problem is finishing. Has been all season.

Not happy clappers as such but I take your point. I'm not happy where we are or how it's being run.

I do however think we might as well have a good time, sing and make the atmosphere a factor in the result again.

As per my OP, the very least it would it give them no more whinging excuses about how difficult it is to play in front of us.

It's not difficult unless that you're a spineless set of fucktards who can't see what an opportunity they have.

They could be the hero's that get us up through the divisions rather than the feckless workshy bastards that we currently suffer.

Thing is urch, almost twenty thousand fans roll through the turnstiles nearly every week. I don't doubt, when we bummed Bradford City three nowt about a century ago this season at Bramall Lane, that as the game came to a close, the cheers and positive vibes flowed down the terraces and across the pitch like a hot fog of love and goodwill. I'd say that everyone on the new Desso pitch felt that wash over them.

Now, if you are expecting unitedites to dance about and sing when the midfield is chasing the ball around, when the defence gets skinned, when every other pass is to and opposition player and we ship avoidable goals and slip to another defeat which condemns us to another season in div one then I believe ... I may be wrong ... but I believe you are expecting a bit much. It has been long, long time since Blades fans felt good about themselves (and one help me here when that was?) and these days that warm glow of achievement is gone. Look at our players. Look at our league position. Look at the results. Now look at McCabe.

There's your answer.

Plus defending and keeping a clean sheet . Has been all season .

Putting it in one end , keeping them out of the other , someone says on a regular basis.

I'm sure our goals for column was quite decent actually, and it's been the amount of goals conceded that was the issue.

And what's the point in "dominating" games we never win?

Disagree.

Early season we were looking to outscore the opposition, we created plenty of chances (often due to the work of Sammon ;-)) but didn't take nearly enough of them.

(We also had a run of bad luck.)

It was even a problem pre-season where the interviews after the match mentioned this more than once.

The most obvious example was the game when Billy missed three 1v1s (Bury?), but it was fairly consistent over several games.

Not blaming him btw.

We were at it again at Rochdale, and Che missed from inside the six yard box, and he had another couple of decent chances first half at Fleetwood.

Don't know what the answer is.

Stop conceeding so we'd get one point instead of 0?

WHF . Like PeteBlade says if we can stop conceding we would get 1 point instead of 0 points in a number of games . Billy needs someone up front with him , good support from midfield , and although we could say Billy is entering the twilight of his career , he could easily get 20 to 30 goals no problem .Sammon is just make do and mend .

It's been the back 4 for me being the problem , and that has been in disarray for 2 seasons , and we have still not sorted it out , with a solid concede no silly goals happy ending .

The answer is that

The board , McCabe / Prince need to trust , have belief in Adkins and back him with cash to fund us getting first out of this car crash , and second , promotion.

Adkins has to be ruthless and purchase the right players to get us out of this league . If these existing first team players are given another chance the bloke wants shooting .

2 names on the team sheet for next season are Hammond and Billy . All the others are blank .

We can either bury our heads in our hands or look at this as a new era , exciting time for change . After 50 odd years of going to the lane man and boy , I am going for the latter. Don't have a choice in my love / hate relationship with the club.

Of for goodness sake, when did the c word suddenly become socially acceptable??? So many posts with it now.

Disgusted of Lodge Moor.

Use of the word as a term of abuse is relatively recent, dating from the late nineteenth century. The word appears to have not been strongly taboo in the Middle Ages, but became taboo towards the end of the eighteenth century.
