Revolution will like this.

Players total league games and goals.

Basham 190-8
Flynn 236-25
Coutts 295-15
Scougall 120-13
Woolford 402-66
Jcr 405-34
Cuvellier 53-7
Hammond 428-40
James Wallace 89-7.

That's 2218 appearances and 215 goals. An average of 1goal every 10.13 appearances from 9 of our midfielders.

Is that better than sammon's average?

Edit. Just checked up... Since he moved to England 162 games and 18 goals. 1 in every 9 games

It was meant to be a joke but not actually far off!

If Martin Woolford can somehow blag his way to over 400 football League appearances then maybe Jeremy Corbyn can be cast as the next James Bond, there's hope for everyone.

That really is piss poor.

Playing 4-4-2 would mean 184 man games contributing a paltry 18 goals. If the defence contributed another dozen, then your two strikers have to get 25 each for a realistic tilt at promotion!

How do the individual's all time appearances/goals compare with the statistics for just SUFC matches/goals?

Looking at it from a general point doesn't look good, is it any better when being specific?

But he won't wear a tie, never mind talking to the queen!

Blades stats in brackets.

Basham 190-8 (70-2)
Flynn 236-25 (142-11)
Coutts 295-15 (40-0)
Scougall 120-13 (50-3)
Woolford 402-66 (21-1)
Jcr 405-34 (37-4)
Cuvellier 53-7 (13-0)
Hammond 428-40 (19-1)
James Wallace 89-7 (14-0)

A grand total of 22 in 406 games. About 1 every 18 games.

I don't know which depresses me more, that stat or the fact Ryan Flynn has played 142 times for this club

Any combination of a 2, 3, 4 or 5 man midfield from that lot would just make you weep.

Symbolises how far the club has sunk. I wouldn't be bothered if the lot were released.

All, without exception, have worse stats with us percentage wise , than overall. Amazing but believable.

Goals from midfield this season:

Baxter 4
Basham 2
Woolford 1 (in a defeat)
Hammond 1 (in a defeat)
Everyone else 0

Pathetic.

Oh, and everyone forgot Reed - no goals in 35 league games, and no goals in fifty odd games overall.

Not only that, but he hasn't scored in the last 42 league games.

Personally I'm rooting for a full 46 game non scoring run - a whole season. You can do it Ryan!

I said a long time ago that midfield was a bigger issue than defence. When we played Swindon in the second leg of the play offs, I lost count of the number of their players who had scored multiple goals during the season, to the few of ours. Love him or hate him, Keith Edwards always said that attacking midfielders should be able to score 10 to 15 goals a season. The last one we had who could do that was Lee Williamson!

Jose annoys me; the occasional line is good for the soul. Living your line according to the line = actions to survive yet nothing to survive.

I don't know Jose personally, but I k ow him through another la

Lad....it won't surprise you but apparently Jose was the most talented. Based on performances, he is also a shitbag

I don't know Jose personally, but I know him through another lad. The irritating thing is that he has bee awe bit naughty but QUOTE]

For the above - the only lad weighing in more is Sammon ; We've all seen how shit he is. For charity, I'll happilyp box him and knock him out. Especially at Bramall Lane - so special

I am better than the current set of idiots. That is based on Swindon Town appearances, and performances against reading and Oxford reps. No doubt I fucking bossed it in the middle
