Billy Sharp for captain.

I only see one player with total commitment at bramhall lane,Billy Sharp.
All evident when.........
He got subbed at Man U........angry!!
He has a strike on goal resulting in a near miss or a save........frustration!
he doesn't recieve the ball when he's in an acre of space.........Why the fuck not you numpty's
Some twat fires a pass at his neck at 60 mph..........AARRGH!
when all the cunts around him coud'nt read a ladybird book never mind a football game.......FRUSTRATION!!
If he loses the ball he tries and tries to get it back.........DETERMINATION !!
He works his balls off trying to compensate for everybody else......he's a blade.
Make him captain,give him permission to kick the shit out of any player he feels is'nt
giving 100%(to be fair this would leave him knackered after 5 minutes).

Adkins got off on the wrong foot completely by making McEveley captain and we haven't recovered since
 
He's got enough on his plate battling for headers with 6'4" defenders without having to worry about his precious team mates.
 
He's the one jewel in our team. in a team of fakes. leads by example could captain the side for me onviously does billy want the extra worry?

Truth is we haven't got a captain, or any leaders at all. We're desperate for a Chris Morgan or Brian Gayle. Or even an Alan Kelly or John Burridge. We look like boys against men right now.

Unfortunately, we don't have a central midfielder or defender that could organise their breakfast never mind the team !

I'm a big believer in Centre Halves being the captain, never strikers or Goal keepers, especially in a side like ours.

Basham should really have stepped up this season and been the Centre half to solve our problems AND the captain to run through walls for the team. He just hasn't done it, like so many of the other fuckers

Agree with you on what a captains abilities should be, Mceveley is not that capable.
You might then ask yourself then why the team is like it is .?? In a multitude of reasons this appointment is one of them.

He was of course just one part of the "leadership group" – we don't hear about that quite so much any more. I wonder if it's been disbanded...
 
Possibly. I know Simon Tracy did.

Best shirt ever that. The one with no collar and the lace. Even if everybody had to take them back to the club shop to get one with the red stripe in the middle.

That's very true. Used to drive me up the wall that. I don't know how it should be pronounced, but everybody else called him Flo. Being called Flu on MOTD was damn irritating.

I remember somebody saying 'better than his brother'...can't remember if it was Jostein who was supposed to be better when we signed him, or if we tried to sign the other fella before he made it big and the quote was about him.
