I have never wanted to see a season end so quickly as what I do this season. It is really depressing.
When I went down Gillingham on the opening day I genuinely thought with the appointment of Adkins we would go up this season, I thought he'd play a little more positive and we'd win the games we'd been getting draws in.
I can remember looking at the clock after 15 minutes and thinking we had no hope if this was what we had.
At half time I was impressed the manager saw need for changes and brought big burly Connor Samon on then, instead of waiting until the 88th minute. At that point I thought we could get back into the game. After 20 minutes or so of watching Samon I realised we would be better off with a real f*cking Salmon up front.
I have been hugely disappointed with the management of the club this season I really thought we had acquired a brilliant manager. My Wednesday mates were even saying they wish they had got him as they still seemed in turmoil back then. How things quickly change.
I have no idea what the answer is or where we should go from here. However at this moment in time I feel as down as the Adrian Heath days.
I would love another Bassett or Warnock at the lane, a manager with some bollocks about him.
On the plus side, at least we won't have to fork out for Wembley trips this season.

I would put Brian Deane in charge until the end of the season it can't be any worse and he might be able to implement a set pattern of play, which seems to be lacking at the moment, and some fight into the players, which is also sadly lacking.
NA has lost the plot now and maybe the dressing room.

As i watched tonight it seemed for the most part we didn't really know what to do with the ball when we had it. Head or chest height balls at 40mph fired at Billy don't give him much chance, by the time he has any control there is four around him. I think we have some decent players in the team but they just don't play together well, some of them would be thriving in other teams. I don't call for sacking NA but i don't think either our players are as bad as some are making out.

It took me a huge effort to leave the house to go to the match at 5pm today, after being up for work at half 2 this morning and getting by after an afternoon nap. Glad i did though because i got to the old hermitage, bumped in to an old mate and decided to stay in there and have a few beers with him, because we both knew what was coming, glad we did.

The only game i have really got to look forward to now this seasoin is Hibernian v Ross County in the Scottish League Cup final. and after a lifetime of watching the Blades, i have seriously lost the urge to go any more.

People can blame me for lacking in moral fibre, but there is a reason why we are where we are now, and blame certianly can't be apportioned to the fans.

Feel the same. I could have gone tonight after work but simply couldn't be bothered rushing to get there only to be greeted by a set of players who don't care about the club playing for a manager who has run out of ideas who has to work under the most unprofessional board in the football league. Not really anything at Bramall Lane worth the effort at all

I feel pretty much the same except I love football hate United

Please name the decent players? Serious question!

There's no pattern of play Deano could try with these players that Adkins hasn't already attempted.

Long, Basham, Sharp, Mceverly, Adams, Brayford possibly 1 or 2 more who are not regular. But bear in mind I mean decent for this environment in L1.

I would give him the chance would improve on that surely

It would make it more difficult for the players to disrespect the shirt, fans, boardroom and hard working team mates. Deano would have unquestioned legitimacy so there'd be no room for deflection.
