Is he injured, carrying a knock? cos hes been playing well and been took off again.

Either that or robson dosent know what he's doing, and it cant be that!

not injured. well what a masterstroke there, keef stays on and stead is taken off. Whuppie!

Excellent?? didn't seem to be able to do much today, he kept getting fouled. I think robson took him off to allow some more free flowing play.

Personally i thought Keef was shocking and not worth a place in any side today - i am not sure how he can get in to the team when u have people like carney who is better and LUTON SHELTON who ripped Preston apart

Stead had a good game, but you could argue Danny Webber/Shelton managed to change the game. Wheres it say he wasn't injured/had a knock?

he said he took them off for tactical reasons. nothing about being injured. Noticed 2nd half neither stead or squinny were on the bench.

Personally probably wouldn't have took Stead off, but I could understand why he wanted to inject a bit more pace. Worked to some extent given that we got 1 penalty and should have had another due to Danny Webber.

sure, but i think there were worse players on the pitch than stead. Keef stayed on, could have put shelkton on one wing and webber on the other, then allowing us to go more attacking down the flanks.

We still played the long ball upfront and nothing was being won, missed steads height. IMO

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Did you actually go? Shelton was toilet. on one occasion he took on about 4 players but only ended up 10 yards from where he started.

Taking off arguably our best 2 players at half time and leaving Gillespie & Naysmith on was a joke. Robsons a clueless *ahem

Could ask you the same for those comments.

Shelton looked a threat evertime he got near the ball.

Disagree, run down a blind alley pass it to a preston player, not once did he look threatening or create anything in or around the PNE box.

I thought Naysmith had a good game. Bardsley looked ok too. Cahill seemed ok, but whoever has Robson convinced that Kilgallon is a footballer capable of a full ninety minutes is really blowing smoke up his arse.

killgallon did nothing wrong.

Nothing? He doesn't exactly inspire confidence in me, I'm afraid. Nost games this season he's looked the dodgiest of the back four, and yes, that includes when Bromby has been playing.

Harsh in the extream, Killa did nothing wrong today and has been nowhere near as bad this season as people like to make out.

Nobody has played consistently well this season so singling out individual players is, in my opinion, taking advantage of the situation to slag off players that you dislike.

I also think that Stead was one of the better players and that bringing him off at half time was harsh.

To slag off Kilgallon after yesterday proves the mentality of some United fans, I thought he had a very good game alongside Cahill. Infact, the whole back 4 did.

Shelton is ok when he's running with the ball, but I still don't think he's good enough. He doesn't come to get the ball, 3 times he waited for it and it got taken away from him before he got near it.

And three times he had hospital passes to him, give the bloke a break.

Of the back four, Cahill looked solid, Kilgallon looked more assured than he has done and Bardsley looked class in patches. Naysmith still doesn't rate for me. Armstrong was our best player yesterday by a mile.

I thought Kilgallon and Cahill played ok together actually. Impressed by Bardsley but Naysmith let the back 4 down for me, he sliced the ball 6times in the second half alone. Keef wasn't great but thought Stretch Armstrong run the midfield. Alan Quinn gave away to many fouls. Stead should never have been took of...player of the season so far for me. Nice to see Webber getting a chance again and Shelton yeah he's got pace, yeah he beat 4 men and yeah he did cause there defence more problems but wouldn't Sharp have been the better option, ok he's not as fast but at least he can find the net. Thought they played well in 1st half unlucky to be loosing. Certainly shouldn't have lost the game but i don't think we were worther winners either.
ah well Were All Blades Arent We??

It sounds to me like the a fair few people, myself included, think that the back 4 have shown vast imporvement from the Bristol game; perhaps this is the only positive to come out of yesterdays game.

Now if we can only sort out the midfield (major overhaul needed IMO) and get a partnership going up front rather then 2 isolated but talented forwards we may see some imporvement in our performances as a team.

Was also surprised that Robson took Stead off at half time?

There was plenty of others who were much less iinvolvement with the first half.

I would have thought Sharpe would have been a better substitute and I would have kept Stead to play either on the wing or just behind the front two.

I thought Beattie played better in the games when partnered by sharpe, in the last few games there has been little connection between Beattie and Stead.

Think Stead is a very good player, but a manager has to think of how a team can be built out of the individuals, at the moment many of the players seem not to have been introduced to their team mates.

Thought the defence looked more stable, however it may have been the poor oposition.

Still very unsure of what Robson is trying to achieve, many of the players look like lost sheep at the moment

I think Beattie probably looked better with sharp there because sharp was a load of poo?

I think stead has been the better player out of him and beattie, just beattie is getting the goals.
